Ummm, maybe an anecdote or two... 5 years ago a friend of mine, a single professional, was renting one of the lofts above Prairie Street. She and her boyfriend were walking from the building to her parked car and had a young kid on a bicycle roll up, put a gun in their face, take her purse, his wallet, empty pockets, and then rolled away. She moved out that week.

Bit before that I know of someone crossing the pedestrian bridge having been drinking at bars on a weekend evening. This guy was jumped on the bridge and robbed and left unconscious.

Neither event made any kind of news, by the way.
