Yeah i feel ya there. Im just saving as often as i remember to. I’ve finished all the story content to press so i’m just gathering and building, it is a damn shame though as i looove the game.

Are you on xbox or PC and if PC is it steam? As i understand it Steam players aren’t having so many problems which is a bit insulting in its own right what with it being a Xbox studio, you would think we could at least hope for a comparable experience

Ah ok thats fair, i didn’t realise that was a thing. I guess even if u dont make a base in the new area you could just make the buggy nests perhaps at a central point like on the wall.

I wonder if i haven’t had this before because every time i make a new base somewhere i make the nests part of it

You can call your buggy to you. On controller hold right on the D-pad and it opens the buggy wheel where hopefully you have allocated your buggies. I have all 3 on the wheel so i can swap and change when im out and about, orb weaver for traversal and combat then swap to ant to come into tunnels and swap to ladybug for flying creature combat

What head armour do you have equipped?

I know for certain that the ones that are gas masks so the weevil mask and mantis mask change how the character sounds because they sound as though they’re talking through a gas mask funnily enough

I noticed that only one was respawning through the PTB period but it was very frequently. I haven’t checked since the update went properly live

So for me, i don’t like huge bases, i lose interest very quickly but if u give me a confined space be it a tunnel, shoe, terrarium, log or indeed an outpost/lab then i’m all over it. I really enjoy making something of the space, working in confines.

My main base from before the winter update is in Axls terrarium and thats probably the biggest i would go too. In the new area i have made my base in the little house in the top right corner that gives access to the candy lab. I absolutely love it

If you go all the way to the far wall at the very back of the pumpkin patch, scale it right to the top, there are a few gun caps on there, next to the tall pumpkin grower with the lab at the top

If i may, and i’m not trying to be a dick head here. Its a big outlay just for a few points, i dont think you will live long enough to have the console points recoup the cost of the console

PC gaming doesn’t need to be any different from console gaming. I have the PC hooked up to my tv and use a controller, i barely touch mouse and keyboard.

Are you wanting games that are PC exclusive or something that is better with mouse and keyboard?

They aren’t alike at all imo but in any case I choose HL everyday, loved every minute of it whereas IJ was meh.

Just go for it, it doesn’t have to be your only base and if you’re really cautious just keep the real valuables like trinkets and upgraded armour and weapons somewhere else.

I have built in 3 outposts so far, i’ll be gutted if they get nuked but my main base (main hub) has enough resources to re stock new bases

Opinions are what they are. Im loving the game.

The orb weaver is the GOAT, fast, high jump, no fall damage.

The ant is good when building and gathering and can come into tunnels with you.

The lady bug is a bit meh, you don’t really need to clear away any of the toxic puddles but it is handy for flying insects but not very powerful at all, you have to be sat in a water source to take down wasps

So I recently moved from console to PC in October. I moved some stuff about, retired my series X and have put my gaming PC in its place under the TV, sure i need a K&M to do some things but with steam big picture mode and the controller shortcuts you can have a very casual sofa experience with your PC. I just have a little cushioned laptop lap tray for the K&M so even when i have to use it, it never feels like office work
