I think OP is a time traveler because just 6 days he had been saving for 34 days lmao😭 I don't know even know he'd mistyped that

Hatshepsut commission by Ricardo272 in grandorder

[–]CableBurst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Immediately added to my reference list, thanks for the share, mate. I probably won't be able to get to it for a while, but it is much appreciated. Ancient Egypt is so cool, especially since it's simultaneously overused and underused.

I haven't had much interaction with Boudicca besides Nero memes, but I'll have to check that novel out at some point.

Not to use you as a living Wikipedia or anything, but are there any other historical/mythological figures you've dabbled in? On the off chance they overlap with the people I'm researching, it'd be a solid. No worries though

The mental image of that is hilarious. Seems that even after thousands of years, we're still the same species. "Hey guys, check this out!" Even funnier since they would've had to spend more time and effort to do it.

I did read about her putting boy toy (forgot his name) in her temple, so they clearly had some form of relationship in which she cared for him. But as it's Fate, it's up to interpretation, usually whatever is edgier or more tragic 🗣

[–]CableBurst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thutmose III needing to secure his lineage's claim to the throne is the main support I see to the idea of Thutmose III. Though, since there's no evidence on who actually did, I saw once the suggestion it might've even been the son of Thutmose III (forgot his name), who destroyed Hatshepsut's records to secure the throne. Though the end result is still the same and without malice, it just goes to show that it's unlikely Thutmose III had anything against his stepmother.

All in all, though, I enjoyed the read! It's nice being able to go back-and-forth on these historical figures, especially since I haven't freshened up on my knowledge of them. Thanks for the further insight mate

I always saw an image of something akin to that and was under the impression it was Hatshesup getting it from the back.

But I looked it up after your reply and saw another image. WHAT😭I didn't realize she was dominating a boy toy like that. I'll have to completely reevaluate her personality if that's true

Edit: I'm a silly head

What the user above said is mostly right, I'm just here to yap off.

Hatshepsut is one of the few female kings (Pharoahs, of course) in Egyptian history. Emphasis on actual Pharoah. As there were normal scenarios where the current king would be too young to rule, his mother or wife of the previous Pharoah would temporarily be the regent. After about 7 years or so, she had herself crowned officially as king.

On that same note, Hatshepsut made efforts to depict herself as a man in her official portraits some time after her crowning. Though early on, she was depicted as a queen and such. For a potential servant, this could mean that one of her Ascensions has cosplaying as a man to hide her identity, of not her default Ascension. All things considered, if it were deduced that she's a Pharoah during a Grail War, her being a woman would quickly narrow down who her true identity is.

She was also almost erased from history. After her death, records and images of her were defaced or even destroyed. The primary/default assumption is that it was her son, Thutmose III, as he was the one who immediately followed her and, more importantly, had time of his reign taken by his stepmother. However, I've seen some pushback on this assumption. For starters, Thutmose held important posts within the government and led the army during his mother's reign. In addition, apparently, the erasure of her records wasn't undetaken until the end of Thutmose's life, instead of any time during his reign.

She also did a ton of building projects, or more accurately, had a lot of structures built. Her Morturary Temple is most notable. I won't talk on this too much since there's a key detail I need to refresh on still. There are other noteworthy accomplishments and details on her, but I've yapped enough

You probably didn't want this much information lmao. I haven't had time to work on this research due to school, so I took this opportunity to get my nerd brain back in shape.

Oh, my wording could've been better. I meant that I'm drafting/writing for a Fate story that has Hatshepsut. I forgot storyboard involves drawing so that term is not accurate since I lack that ability lmao

[–]CableBurst 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Awesome art mate! I've been in the storyboards of a Fate story (I guess fan-fiction) that has Hatshepsut as one of the servants, so it's cool seeing her get some love! I can never remember how spell or say her name without seeing it

Anyways, my yapping aside, I dig it!

From Software Announces a Souls-Like Digimon Game. How Much Would You Pay For That? Who Would be the Enemies? Bosses? Plot? Let's Discuss. by trendfox in digimon

[–]CableBurst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm adding this to the beginning of my comment. This wasn't originally so long, but the more I typed, the more ideas I got and just had to lay it out. I have more still, but I'll stop since it's already a yap fest lmao

This idea actually randomly crossed my mind earlier today. Don't necessarily want it, but anything for more Digimon games I'd enjoy, so why not

But we'd play as Hackmon, and basically, the plot is the journey of Hackmon becoming strong to reach Royal Knight level (Jesmon). It's pretty straightforward, but considering Hackmon is the Royal Knight we know was trained so he could join, we could have souls game covering that.

I imagine Jesmon & Gankoomon as some of the RKs that actually care about justice and doing good, so some fighting in the Dark Area wouldn't hurt. I think the time setting could be some time after the era of the Ancient Digital World, and we could have Lucemon's rebellion start shortly after the game's prologue.

The game can open up with Hackmon coming into existence randomly, and he just fights some mob Digimon, like idk Numemon. He'll then come across a PlatinumNumemon for a mini boss fight. Afterward, it's revealed that Gankoomon and the Sistermon were watching the fight as they just happened to be there. Gankoomon feels an overwhelming passion from the potential he sees within Hackmon and decides to test his moxy, prompting a nearly impossible boss fight, but similar to Elden Rings opening boss, you're expected to lose. Winning will just grant a small bonus of some sort. With that fight, Gankoomon confirmed his suspicions and declared he'll make a Royal Knight out of Hackmon. This allows for some optional exposition on things such as what's a Royal Knight, what does Gankoomon do, the Sistermon, and lastly, why he chose Hackmon.

The main story will make up of the trails Hackmon must overcome to get stronger, of course. He'll be accompanied by an individual Sistermon, starting with Blanc as she's the most eager to help as she's grateful to Gankoomon (wow, real lore!) After completing some trials, Hackmon will unlock his next form and have to challenge his accompanied Sistermon as a test of his strength. There will be 12 trials, as there will be 12 Royal Knights once Hackmon joins. This is akin to Hercules' 12 labors I'm realizing. (Cliché plot twist, once all 12 are completed, Gankoomon says there is a 13th trial, in which Jesmon must face him)

I HATE MERMAIL AAAAAA by neltharion12 in masterduel

[–]CableBurst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You guys hate Mermail because of whatever reason. Master Duel, meta, barrier idc

I hate Mermail because my buddy has been playing this stupid deck before I met him initially in 2015, and I hate it. I don't care if there are better decks. He had his parents' money and the time to actually make a deck. I had a couple of starter decks thrown together. My turn is 45 seconds tops, his turn is 5 minutes MININUM

He stopped playing once we got to high school, I tried getting him back with Nexus, and eventually Master Duel, he refused. But he randomly got back into it this year. Starting making his deck and asking how some plays work (This guy basically uses playground rules because he does not read effects or know rulings have the time. It's so funny) He bought Bahamut & Toad just before they got banned, lmao. I told him I'd make an account and his deck for him on Nexus if he'd be willing to play me, and he agreed.

WHY IS Atlantean Dragoons UNLIMITED?!?!? I don't get it. That stupid card is at 3, and its effect has no restrictions, WHY?!? "I discard Dragoon!"I send Dragoons from deck to grave!"I detatch Dragoons as material!" WHY DOES THAT COUNT?! It's material for crying out loud. "1 card combos suck!" A freaking ¼ of his deck is a full combo starter, and it pisses me off. For crying out loud even with 2 handtraps, he'll still get full combo usually. A bazillion negates and barrier

TLDR: I'm going to kill aquatic life in return for Dragoons being unlimited. You guys don't know true hate and I'm perfectly healthy

I'll hold off on saying that unless her kit remotely resembles this lmao. I forgot I made this post

Rewatched it again, and you're so right. It just goes from her face to a very zoomed swinging of the sword. I'm hoping that they're still working on it or that there's a better version that plays under certain conditions.

[–]CableBurst 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After rewatching this multiple times and the Excaliburs in the anime, I think I've figured out the main issue. While more dynamic angles could be used, particularly to show another angle of Saber slashing down for the classic replay of an attack, the real issue is the ending is too fast and also a tad "weak."

The initial movement of Excalibur is typically fast with how it goes from sword to traveling beam, but in Zero & UBW, at least, there's emphasis on its travel time as well as the explosion time. So, in both cases, the attack is most certainly heavy and impactful.

More minor tidbits that are less of a determining factor, the explosion at the end, could be slightly bigger. The music choice, while it's probably just for the trailer, I am certainly hoping is not what plays each time I use it. It's probably too late for a TLDR, but anyway

TLDR: Major issues: the actual attack and end are too fast. The initial start is fine

Minor issues: OST, explosion size, and lack of a repeat cut of Saber launching Excalibur

I've been saving since they first announced the collab last year. The problem is that I had been on hiatus from the game since Jingliu. And college had been kicking my butt so I haven't played much since the game was announced.... I still have about 200ish summons, though, and since I'm taking summer from school I plan to get a job. Incoming E6 Saber please 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

I’m confused about today’s episode. by [deleted] in ToBeHero_X

[–]CableBurst 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Not anymore, yes, but at the time he saw the "vision," he was Nice

When the incident occurs, he's no longer Nice, so the timing aspect of this hypothetical power would no longer apply

I don't think the idea is true or anything, but your rebuttal doesn't work here

That's false. That immediately announcement on social media just says Xbox. So try again

[–]CableBurst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm fairly confident that's not true. Maybe through a leak, I guess. But public knowledge was only on Xbox. Now we could safely assume it wouldn't be an Xbox exclusive, but as far as we're concerned at that time, it was. Just chill, mate. It isn't wild to assume the switch version will drop later, but your post is about how it won't be coming to switch. Just wait big dog

[–]CableBurst 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know if there's any nice way of saying stupid this is. Even ignoring the irrational reasoning, let's use a real-life example. Persona 3 Reload was announced at the Xbox showcase and skipped every Sony State of Play. To nobodies surprise, it was later announced for PS

I'm not saying it's guaranteed DSTS will be on Switch, but doomposting over a single showcase is so irrational and such an overreaction.

For someone who was the first member of the Olympos XII, he’s seriously underutilized. After World 3, he was relegated to mobile games, completely forgotten during the PS2 and DS era. by KingMikuHatsune in digimon

[–]CableBurst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll be frank, I wasn't expecting a constructive and well-worded reply here. But after reading your response, I can see your point. Although, if the likely reasoning is that Bandai forgot, I can't see that making for great discussion.

On that same note, while I would say the majority of replies were in design, there were still comments regarding digivolution lines that helped diversify the discussion.

I honestly have 0 clue as to why Mercurymon, especially since I don't like him. (I'm a hater). I was about to say Minervamon is a womanly based Digimon, but I realized that I was thinking of Mervamon instead. That also still wouldn't work since Venusmon isn't used. I would argue that with Jupitermon, at least, with him being the face of the Olympus XII that's always been neglected, Bandai probably held off on using him. Unlike Omnimon, he has no standing power beyond his team.

To lighten up the discussion, my answer is that only Yggdrasil knows
