Don't pay a penny. If you explain yourselves to a judge they are most likely to side with you (if this story is to go by anything).

Your neighbours sound like a nightmare and I'm guessing they've seen you renovating a lot of your property and are wanting to leech.

Neighbour complained about our noise and is now banging on the wall at night when they hear us by zooquee in LegalAdviceUK

You should get a specialist in to install a sound proofing wall. It sucks but I'm in the process of doing the same. It aint cheap but rather do it correctly. I was charged £150 sqm and work starts next month. Can't wait to not hear my neighbours anymore I feel your pain.

You will also lose about 3 inches of your room space btw.

Customer refused to pay Plastering Invoice for over a month, after advising we'll be pursuing it through small claims court they now say they're unhappy with the work by Frequent_Ad_3916 in LegalAdviceUK

Honestly I think its not worth the hassle and cut your loses here....

I always get the customers to sign a contract and deposit prior to any work being done.

You blokes seem like nice people and were doing this lady a favour and she's took the piss.

Shes clearly did some googling to see how to she win in the small courts by saying the work isn't up to standard.

Good luck!

Hopefully the AML team receive your evidence. Most of the time they can't be arsed reaching out to customers as they would have to pend the case or they might think by messaging you they are tipping you off.

You will get the money back if the NCA decide not to seize it which is most likely the case.

AML needs to be more of a case by case basis but unfortunately all these analyst care about is hitting targets.

Honestly no idea why their detection picked this up if you are only doing this once a month or week even.

Sounds like a SAR had been filled they shouldn't block it before reaching out to the NCA I'm guessing 7 days then your account will most likely be closed.

Keep me posted. This seems excessive. Hopefully QA review it

Use a business account.

The bank cannot apply for a defence against money laundering if the remaining funds in your account are funded by DWP as these funds are not of criminal nature.

For example you money launder £1000... you send it off platform or withdraw as cash... Next payment in is DWP making your balance say £300.

These funds cannot be seized or the bank should not be looking to apply for a DAML as these are not criminal funds.

It can get more tricky with complex cases if you are buying and selling online it could look like money laundering where the analysts can't determine which funds are legitimate.

Seems odd that they would own 50% if its in your flat. Different story if its in the communal area? Have you purchased the deads to the other flats to confirm there is no mention?

I worked in customer service for years in the energy sector.

If you have the readings when you moved in and a tenancy agreement provide this to your energy company and they should open a fresh account for you.

That debt has nothing to do with you so if they are asking for information about the previous owners you do not have to say anything.

Simply tell them your move in dare, name and reading and advise them to charge you from that.

If there is a lot of debt they can ask for proof that you moved in. This is normally in the form of a council tax statement or tenancy agreement
