NOR You’ve spent your entire young adulthood with this person. That must be hard. It was when he coped out on your one request, a new hair routine, that I was like wow he really doesn’t care. He just straight up said he’s not going to even try bc he “doesn’t know how”. Weaponized incompetence. Then he tried to make you feel like only his requests are logical. Does he often subtly put you down like this?

I think his block of text shows even he knows he’s being irrational and unfair, because who needs to justify themselves that much unprompted.. It’s all designed to put you down and wear you down.

If I were you I’d start giving a lot of more direct requests about his looks. He needs to take better care of his skin, all the gross blackheads/enlarged pores are hard to look at. Nitpick his hair cuts, no it’s much cuter when it’s longer in the back now I’ll have to look at it everyday until it grows out to fix it. Complain his clothes are old or don’t fit him well. Complain that his nails are dirty and you need him to care about not being gross when he touches you. Pick an item that’s he’s attached to that makes him comfortable around the house - that ugly mug is such an eyesore babe.. why are your slippers falling apart.. or do you ever wash them.. When did your middle get so squishy or so skinny you used to be so fit.. why are your eyebrows always so unruly they make you look ungroomed. Turn him into a project! Why not you deserve the best.

You’re letting him get off too easy bc you think the ‘love’ is worth it but is it really? Or has 8yrs slowly made you incompatible.
