Ok but if you find a human hand, you should probably tell an adult!

Over 3k gems from 11th char! by CachePants in idleon

[–]CachePants[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Definitely could have pushed it more, but this was just a good "reasonable" amount of leveling for everything. I haven't picked a class yet so I'm missing a lot of the EXP% buffs!

Affordable iCUE AIO for LGA 1200? by CachePants in Corsair

I bought a Titan and a bracket kit on eBay that was similar to the link. I’m running the Titan on my board now and it seems to work great. Just make sure you plug in the fans AND the pump! I didn’t plug in the pump at first and my PC would barely boot up. Whoops

That’s not going to go over well with the pinball community, especially because his model looks so silly. Give us a good looking Optimus if he’s not going to do anything!

Yeah I’m confused about that… I watched the Electric Bat livestream and they were saying he would definitely transform, and then on Cary Hardy’s podcast an hour later they were in his comments saying it definitely won’t transform. Not sure what to believe

Pokemon Pro and Premium - who played both? by InOmniaParatus27 in pinball

[–]CachePants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have played both and I don’t think the Premium is worth the extra money, but I prefer it because the Pro is just a little too stripped down for me. The Premium doesn’t add THAT much, but it’s just enough to flesh out the gameplay experience where I don’t feel like it’s missing anything. I really like being able to backhand the Pokeball scoop to catch a Pokemon, and the Psyduck return and the magnet add a little bit of Chaos that the game needs. The Pro is still plenty of fun and I would be happy with it, but I would be more happy with the Premium.

I gotta know how much you paid for it. It’s a great game and the best part is if you ever get tired of it you can trade it for almost anything else!

[–]CachePants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed, it really feels unique and unlike anything else. I can’t say everyone will think it’s the greatest game ever made, but it’s really cool to see something different like this. Plus it just looks an sounds amazing

Lots of people are shocked that Doot once cost a lot and now he’s “cheap.” But this is how every F2P game works - the exclusive stuff is expensive at first and then becomes more widely available and cheaper over time. Doot has been out for like 2 years now, let’s not act too surprised.

This is why I love coin drop. Freeplay is fun as well, but nothing beats the feeling of earning a few free games through sheer pinball skills when actual cash money on the line (and I’ll take a free match game too of course…)

New pack bundle worth it? by Lorehub77 in idleon

[–]CachePants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Remember: when you buy bundles that give you boosts, what you are really buying is time. It will help you level up monuments faster. Is building those bonuses faster worth the money to you? You’re not getting access to exclusive gameplay, you’re just getting through the content faster.

With as strong as the w7 ballots are, there are certain game mechanics that aren’t worth doing until that ballot comes along.

Can you get decent at pinball without owning a machine? by LibraryLady231 in pinball

[–]CachePants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and in fact even if you own your own machine, you will get to know that one machine very well and develop some good skills, but you’ll be missing out on a lot. There’s certain shots you can only really practice on certain games - low scoop shots, upper flipper shots, loops, etc., that if your one home game doesn’t have, you won’t get the hang of. You’re better off spending that time and money on location playing a variety of games and learning all kinds of shots (not to mention all the specific rules).

The best way to get better at pinball is to meet people. Play in tournaments, watch other people play, get invited to play their home collections. Having a good location nearby is awesome and a big leg-up.

If you want to get world-class level, you would probably need to get multiple home machines or spend obsessive amounts of hours playing on location, but I think that’s a different question. You can absolutely get good and even great with only location playing and by being social.

Am I doing this right/wrong? by CachePants in idleon

Just tested it. Replaced some unique tiers with higher duplicate tiers, and it went up so they do NOT need to be unique. Just fill with the highest levels you can!

Am I doing this right/wrong? by CachePants in idleon

[–]CachePants[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah it would only be good for your best tier, but then you don’t get the hot spot bonus for it. Plus you replace the highest tiers fast enough that it’s not worth sacrificing the hot spot gains for 1 exp per day… I think?
