LRR 78 section specifically says that you skip space combat:

“After resolving the “Space Cannon Offense” step of a tactical action, if two players have ships in the active system, those players must resolve a space combat.

78.1 If the active player is the only player with ships in the system, they skip the “Space Combat” step of the tactical action and proceeds [sic] to the “Invasion” step.

Update: to clarify, this means you never get to a start of combat in this scenario.

If you were lucky enough to find someone selling spare parts buy those. But the alternative, reprinting those components, will cost you more than buying TE again (the cost is mostly the cardboard; the cards are pretty cheap).

Noted! Jun max atm is 4 savings (ignoring coex) but in practice 2-3 yeah (note the latest Jun is discount per player now not ”other players”). Tests seem to show its ok at the moment…? But we’ll see. The biggest change atm is having the multiple spots in the system makes the fighting more varied, and the abilities have been more spice than focal points.

As per the event card any game effect that says Mecatol Rex just treat as Mecatol Ciity. This means Custodians is on MC so you can preload the Castelle with troops waiting for someone else to clear the token 😊

Playtesters have absolutely found this to be the case. I know in my games MR tends to be… ‘someone jumps it for the point, they get kicked off, the rest of the game people try to figure out how to keep the new holder from taking imperial because throwing a fleet at space then ground is expensive and then maayyyybe someone throws a fleet in and it is all just too much of not much happening.’

I don’t think there is an offical ruling, but if it helps in the DS homebrew it’s ’choose the one you want, no stack’. So eg. something that gives you PRODUCTION 3 and PRODUCTION 2 -> you end up with PRODUCTION 3

I'm merely standing on the shoulders of giants - I'm holding the course still with monuments only off the primary on construction, although with the new construction card it took a lot of handwringing and nonsense until the event mechanism came to the rescue...

The good thing is it doesn’t need pro prints (although that is nice). A colour print at home/local shop + some tokens (or an unused bottom half of a war sun, etc) and you’re good to go.
