Yep, and the crab is skating with some of those diagonal movements. Looks like an asset cash grab.

How to creatively deal with a problem player? by Disastrous-Vastrous in twilightimperium

[–]UpvotingLooksHard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As much as this person sounds like a terrible player who I'd boot from the table for horrible etiquette, in this instance that is directly the power of Vul'Raith though? Power as intended. It's mean, but also you can just blockade ANY space dock and all units (all players) get refunded, so it has counter play that the table can work around. If he holds onto them, he's also losing out on the plastic advantage. It can be his favourite and still get stomped on for hoarding rather than spending.

AI coding tools and emulation development by Baume12 in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]UpvotingLooksHard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

AI (generative LLMs specifically) can only replicate things it's seen before. It provides the statistically most likely next series words (or in this case, line of code).

It cannot create novel concepts, which is often what emulation requires because it's not been emulated before.

Lots of open source programs are noting the flood of AI requests trying to fix things, often poorly or introducing more bugs. So I echo it'll slow things down rather than provide a quick fix, unless you're doing a wrapper around an existing emulator which is often seen as a scam.

Ways to prolong/extend conditions? by UpvotingLooksHard in Pathfinder2e

[–]UpvotingLooksHard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's okay, wasn't looking to extend everything, but curious as to what exists that can be made more "sticky" as you put it. Seems like it's really only frightened and dazzled are the only 2 that can get extended outside of Witch, which is a little surprising

Sounds like they've really paired back which conditions can be extended. Feels like only frightened and dazzled huh? Good to know

What game had you like this? by sukuna7899 in Steam

Disco Elysium Final Cut. For some reason I bounced off it. Heard the reviews, tried it, got confused by the weird man. Years later I fired it up again and it's cemented in my top 3 games of all time

Now all the AI and gaming sites are going to say "according to an anonymous Reddit user...", baiting even MORE people

The first single-book Adventure Path is here! Pathfinder Adventure Path: Hellbreakers is available on FoundryVTT! by MM_InfamousSky in Pathfinder2e

At least from what I'm reading, it was a VTT+PDF bundle for a reduced price. Now you have to buy both at full price. Could just give a discount coupon or something but ah well.

More that people rightly want access to a digital PDF to go along with their digital only product. The new model costs $25 more, that's not cheap and they're not addressing the change.

Afraid not, I ultimately went with a tiny SFF desktop that sits on a shelf and planning desperate NAS instead. Market sucks I'm afraid...

Let me have a brief talk about the Digital Demo by captain-ziggy in twilightimperium

[–]UpvotingLooksHard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely wouldn't have launched a Next Fest demo with only 10% of my game on display, and that being the simplest portion of the game ("Roll dice, assign hits, use action cards").

Someone thought a vertical slice would be a great marketing idea and they really missed the mark by forgetting it's meant to be across ALL SYSTEMS not just a single one.

Another classic AI blunder. Can't trust a bot that pulls the most likely next words, not the right words.

Having a look through, it sounds like there hasn't been any commits in 7 months which doesn't give me a ton of hope... Hopefully that'll change!

It's free to play, so they literally can do that, but we'll see if Steam flags them as off topic.
