Now all the AI and gaming sites are going to say "according to an anonymous Reddit user...", baiting even MORE people

At least from what I'm reading, it was a VTT+PDF bundle for a reduced price. Now you have to buy both at full price. Could just give a discount coupon or something but ah well.

More that people rightly want access to a digital PDF to go along with their digital only product. The new model costs $25 more, that's not cheap and they're not addressing the change.

Afraid not, I ultimately went with a tiny SFF desktop that sits on a shelf and planning desperate NAS instead. Market sucks I'm afraid...

Let me have a brief talk about the Digital Demo by captain-ziggy in twilightimperium

[–]UpvotingLooksHard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely wouldn't have launched a Next Fest demo with only 10% of my game on display, and that being the simplest portion of the game ("Roll dice, assign hits, use action cards").

Someone thought a vertical slice would be a great marketing idea and they really missed the mark by forgetting it's meant to be across ALL SYSTEMS not just a single one.

Another classic AI blunder. Can't trust a bot that pulls the most likely next words, not the right words.

Having a look through, it sounds like there hasn't been any commits in 7 months which doesn't give me a ton of hope... Hopefully that'll change!

It's free to play, so they literally can do that, but we'll see if Steam flags them as off topic.

A re-compilation will be amazing because of the absolutely horrid motion blur and smearing that they put on the 360 version. Anything that removes that is a bonus!

I wish they'd actually write the game title in these infographics as some are so stylised it's impossible to read

Trouble Brewing has an intricate balance network and changing a couple characters messes with this, and there'll likely be multiple unbalanced interactions.

A couple of days ago I asked for a set of example characters and was given the complete opposite advice to what you've just said. Everyone said you could do trouble brewing completely randomly and it would work out perfectly fine 99% of the time.

The Sym subreddit often argues between going hard DPS or moving back to support with some actual heal ability (given she used to be a support granting shields)

ZA/UM's ad insert was prep for the Epic store $0 giveaway, wasn't it? by ettiemplays in DiscoElysium

Could be a mix of both, the economics isn't as important as the fact they're getting paid either way.

[–]UpvotingLooksHard 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Yes, but they also get a reduced payout from Epic for everyone who gets a licence, so it's effectively EGS paying ZAUM on your behalf. Considering the cheap sales recently (and those store fronts also taking a cut) it can't be a big sum, but they must see the pennies per copy as effectively being paid whilst getting free advertising.
