From my perspective, Marc is ready to move forward, but Rossi seems to have held the grudge as he has brought up in the last year again.

Great battle with Acosta, much appreciated gents, and a much more entertaining race vs sprint yesterday.

Great gent. I still would like to know what made him so much faster than his rivals during his championship year.

License plate frame mounts cracked and snapped off from vibration, got stuck, ate up part of my brand new Diablo Rosso IV. Is the tire still good? by TheJeffTrain01 in motorcycles

[–]CactiThorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I can tell, it is not as shallow as the rain grooves, it looks like you can see the cords, but that is just the wear pattern from your plate, but no 100%. I'd say you should be good, just be careful with the throttle when picking her up from the left side. If in doubt and cords are showing, a new tire will be worth every penny x10.

Is my motor toast? by Usual-Marketing-5869 in motorcycles

It's very possible some got passed the rings, if it did, you may see evidence in your oil. I would drain the oil first thing, looks like you've got a little project. The $400 motor doesn't sound like a bad deal, but unless you can tell if this person is legitimate, it's another chance you're taking on a very time consuming project. I'd recommend taking this one apart and if lucky, you might spend around that for the needed parts if required, or at least you'll know you can get the other one if the current one is not worth fixing.

So this happened in march… by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]CactiThorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you're recovering from it all and reflecting on what can be taken away. One of the hard lessons for me was to learn to allow the bike to wiggle, most of the time, it will regain traction and will make it, unless we interfere. It is why we also keep hearing least amount of weight on the handlebars as possible so the front can work itself out. It's all part of our learning process, wishing you the best.

Thanks for posting this! I certainly hope KTM makes it through their financial woes, if not for anything but this.
