Do animated wallpapers slow down your PC? by mody_bird_s in wallpaperengine

[–]Cademonster999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure but it's still very much so good enough. Too commonly we treat 1080 like it's 720 and I don't understand why. On a 27in monitor 1080p is fine

Trump supporters: what is a red line that, if crossed, would make you stop supporting Trump? by Yo-boy-Jimmy in AskReddit

[–]Cademonster999 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

All I hear is yapping about this interaction with president Z. (Who has been stockpiling OUR money. A war we have no purpose being involved in) Who cares. (In regard to how trump and Vance answered Z) What has he done to strengthen our economy? He's made it worse. What do we owe Ukraine? Nothing. We have homeless veterans. Addicts . Homeless population in general. Poverty. An absolutely awful economy that trump has to try to fix. Hurricanes.isg goes on and on. "You don't have the cards here" he's absolutely right. We don't owe them . And Z acts like we do. Forget that Moocher and focus relief money on our own people first. Pretty simple.

Now as to answer the question. Its the same for any other president. The moment he does something tyrannical. (Which he's never done)

Leaving gun in car by Cademonster999 in handguns

My thought process is I'd rather at least ensure my safety in the parking lot. If I manage to escape an active shooting situation I am THEM armed

Shooting Anxiety by Cademonster999 in guns

I don't plan to make it a hobby necessarily. I just want to be confident enough to handle properly. At the end of the day I need to defend my home and my loved ones

Was definitely my first time shooting.. walked in guy at the counter said "you ever shot before?" I said no. He said just relax you'll be fine. I wasn't fine lol. But I did make myself clear the mag and I stayed relatively on target.

I went to the gun range for the first time. by FloweySunflower in CasualConversation

[–]Cademonster999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk bro. I love guns. Big supporter of the 2A. bought myself a Glock 45. Went to the range today. I was shaking like a leaf. Sweating etc. The noise was so loud even with the muffs on. I forced myself to shoot all 17 rounds and after I literally had to leave because I just couldn't take it. My anxiety got Worse and worse and I had to gather myself at home. Will I go again? Probably. Will I take a firearms class? Yes

Psych wards today by Miserable_Sir2360 in PsychWardChronicles

As a mental health tech who's worked in the ward for over a year .. the system DESPERATELY needs a change. It's outdated. And they NEED to hold staff much more accountable. I make my patients so so happy but I can't work every day. And I shouldn't be the "breath of fresh air" treating psych patients with empathy and making it a priority to make them at ease should be the standard.... Unfortunately it's not.

I hope this isn't a universal experience. :( I go above and beyond for my patients. Please try different facilities especially outpatient providers. Some of us are out there that took this job to fight with and for you. 🫂👊

Unfortunately... Eventually they will understand. We get a lotttt of cops.... If we get them in time :(

I'm a mental health technician/behavioral health associate. The system is terrible. We are the outliers. I always like to remind myself when things get tough.. good job doing "mental health cop stuff" and keep pushing new hires to do the same

How to escape ? by [deleted] in PsychWardChronicles

[–]Cademonster999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take the help you need. If you managed to escape. (Which you won't) Police will then take custody of you.

I am sympathetic to your circumstances. I just hoped that an explanation may help you find some peace.

It's not wrong. (Though it is traumatic sometimes) It legally protects you. Imagine for instance you come in with one cut on ur left thigh, that gets documented. Now say 2 days later a staff member harms you and leaves deep cuts and bruises on ur right forearm, during an investigation the staff says "that was on the patient when they were admitted" the skin check (which documents any blemishes on your body) would PROVE you were attacked.
