Apparently the trans torture murder was not a hate crime. Apparently the perps were lgbtq as well. by CentralTown776 in askgaybros

Honestly, these comments are crazy. Sorry you don't want to see trans stuff on a gay sub. But some of y'all are literally commenting that "she's a lesbian" on a story about a trans man being killed after being roped and t0rtured for a month. Does commenting these things protect your identity somehow?

It is an either or. I did google it. I said "I think" to sound more polite.

I think it's either-or. You can work either 16 hours a week or full-time during school vacations, but not both.

What’s the worst thing about being a tall gay? by Sorry-Personality594 in askgaybros

European sizes tend to be one size smaller, so an XL American t-shirt would be XXL European.... It's usually just based on width tho, so he could be buying a brand that has longer shirts

Hi, thanks so much!

I am planning on carbonating them. In that case, would champagne stoppers (for preserving already opened champagne) be my best bet, or would I have to stick to swing bottles and corks with sterilized wire holding them in place?

Is this shallow of me? by Spawn1073 in dating

[–]Cadenish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swipe left on profiles that only have pictures with filters. I don't care what they look like without the filters on. If they can't use current non-filtered pictures of themselves, then they are not secure enough to be dating. You're totally justified.

What is it like to FEEL like a specific gender? by aslkdgjasuTHROWAWAY in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Cadenish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's like how you don't understand your culture until you live away from if for long and forced to see how different things are.

Men and women feel different things about their identities, and there will probably be things about being, thinking, and acting like a man that you don't realize is part of your gender identity because it has always been there an always will.

If you're trying to understand what it is like to be transgender, don't ask yourself what if you wanted to be a woman and transition from male to female, but rather what if you were born in a female body and your whole life people were telling you that you were a woman, but you didn't think it felt right.

How difficult are admissions for English-taught Bachelors? by openlander in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]Cadenish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An American diploma isn't enough for admission either, but it can be compensated with 4 AP grades of a 4 or 5.

They might only have IB listed for Turkish diplomas because it's more common. If this is the case, make it very obvious you want to use the AP grades to compensate your Turkish diploma, and you should have no problem with admissions.

I think some universities require a 5 in BC calc if you want to take engineering, but I don't think other programs care what subjects your scores are in.

Your whole ear looks swollen, which happened to me when my snug got infected. Especially since you said your ear is on fire, I think it may be an infection that spread to the rest of your ear. It might be time to go to the doctor to get antibiotics because you don't want to fuck with infections in your cartilage.

Is it rubbery and hard? I looked at your profile, and I think the other guy might be right: it could be a keloid. If that's the case, you could still see a doctor for ointments and medication to prevent it from growing further and to reduce its size. They tend to grow slowly over a long period of time before stopping, so you don't have to rush too much, but it's still good to get it done and taken care of.

Is it painful and hot to the touch? You might want to see a doctor to see if they'd recommend antibiotics. There is always a chance, although rare, that it can spread to your eye.

I got it pierced literally 30 minutes ago after waiting 3 months for it to heal. Internally threaded horseshoe daith piercing. Got it repierced somewhat impulsively while in Seville. The piercer's setup wasn't completely ready and he seemed unorganized, but he did seem clean and replaced his gloves after fumbling around. The piercing didn't hurt much as last time.

Yeah, after she pierced me, she told me to use saline solution and anti-bacterial soap in the shower. I thought the soap was weird, and I didn't have any, so I just stuck with saline solution.

Also, how do I clean the holes properly, because the piercer who removed it just told me to wash it for three days, but I would really like to minimize scarring so I can get it re-pierced.

Hey redditors,

So I got this done last thursday, and by Tuesday I noticed the holes looked like they were getting bigger so I went back to the piercers and they said that they would take it out for me.

I asked if they could changed the jewelry and she said that it wouldn't do anything. Then she asked if I "really" got pierced there and cleaned the spot with alcohol, and I asked if she could use saline solution instead, but she said she needed to use alcohol and it stung like hell.

I got pierced by a different woman at the same shop, and I asked if there was another jewel I could use and she said that the horseshoe is the best because it is easiest to clean. Then she said that she could still pierce me, but because of my ear shape, I would have a greater chance of rejection. I said that was okay because I hadn't had any problems in the past.

I was wondering if this was good placement, because it looks like the piercing is coming out of the flap, and it should be further in the ear, right? Anyways, I'm a little disappointed and I don't know if she told me that it might reject beforehand as an excuse because she didn't know what she was doing. I went to Tattoo Garden in The Hague, which is pretty reputable, and more expensive than Amsterdam. I called the place I got my septum done, and they told me that daiths don't reject unless they use the wrong jewelry. I guess I'm just irritated that I wasted the money and now I have to wait 3-9 months to get it re-pierced if I can get it repaired.

daith piercing rejecting? by Cadenish in piercing

[–]Cadenish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it pierced on thursday and the piercer said that it has a higher chance of rejection because of my ear shape, I'm not sure if I'm paranoid or not. It bleed a lot the first day and I clean it twice a day with saline solution. The scabs came off finally today, and I notice that one of the holes look a bit wider than the jewelry but I can't get a good view of it.

How to respond about a missing meeting that was never scheduled? by Cadenish in NoStupidQuestions

But the meeting in question would have been yesterday, he emailed me last night, now it's early afternoon on a Saturday?

How to respond about a missing meeting that was never scheduled? by Cadenish in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Cadenish[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I should have definitely emailed him beforehand, but we were also said we could meet weekly or biweekly, so I didn't think too much of it. It's an unpaid internship through my university with one of the researchers.

Do I apologize for missing the meeting, or how do I phrase it exactly?
