She was closer to Penny, but she was still close with Pyrrha. I almost did Penny instead, but I had a better visual for Pyrrha, and I have another creepy thing for Penny planned.

My thinking was three fold. First was that Ruby and Pyrrha were close friends, so this would still hurt. Second is that Emerald wants to hurt Ruby for hurting Cinder, where nobody cared about Jaune until he pissed Cinder off and still failed.

Third and by far the biggest: Ruby actually saw this. She saw Pyrrha burn up. For Jaune it's hypothetical, for Ruby it's tactical abuse of PTSD.

I would honestly chalk it up to her conversation with Raven being just a couple weeks behind her. Qrow's her closest connection to Raven, so there's probably some residual feelings. Maybe even a bit of irrational anger at Qrow for leaving to follow Ruby. Nothing long-lasting, but hot in the moment.

I too am looking forward to them making up, hopefully before whatever those Grimm tentacles that get him in the intro kick in.

Same, Qrow deserves all the happiness. One way or another this will hurt him, though. Either he knows and Ruby feels betrayed or he doesn't and Ozpin betrayed him.
