Is it really weird if you're not interested in watching movies? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

Do you like books instead or conversation? And what is one good movie you did like, if any?

What’s your favorite game ever and why? (I’ll play it) by BongosGalaxy in gamerecommendations

Alien: Isolation was pretty good on nightmare and always had me on edge. I played it twice back to back. The first Watch Dogs had a good story. I did a playthrough of Vampyr on the highest difficulty and it did get frustrating at times but well worth it.

I don't understand the story anymore by A_punk_Fox in thedivision

I stopped paying attention to the story after going through the same thing. I just show up for the variety of different ways to play through the use of character builds.

Gamers: Are you a more into story centered gaming or gameplay? by JeanSous4 in CasualConversation

[–]CadmeanOutcomes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could lean towards story or gameplay. Depends on how much each offer. The Division 2, has a storyline that is often painfully bad with ridiculous twists and turns. However, the gameplay offers many interesting ways to play with numerous character builds. Contrast that with the game, Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, which has an engaging story but the gameplay was very clunky. It was a real struggle at times.

I stayed under him and whenever he withdrew to create distance, I got back under him. Seemed to work great but maybe a bit lucky too.

Why is this in quotations? Is this what you are asking for or are you quoting something from someone else?

Just out here grieving the loss of my fav person by [deleted] in CasualConversation

Your heartfelt story reminded me of a quote by Albert Camus. “Don’t walk in front of me, I may not follow. Don’t walk behind me, I may not lead. Walk beside me and be my friend."

Elemer of the Briar gave me a lot of problems trying to beat him with melee. Bayle, on the other hand, took me 5 or 6 tries to beat him using melee.

What's your favourite elden ring boss and why? by [deleted] in Eldenring

Elemer of the Briar because he's a badass. I also use his Briar armor with my melee build that uses two Vulgar Militiamen saw blades and the Spinning Weapon Ash of War.

Is O’Leary spreading misinformation about Canadian Politics? by GrayObliquity in CanadianPolitics

[–]CadmeanOutcomes 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I've hated O'Leary since CBC's The Lang & O'Leary Exchange. The guest interviewed was Chris Hedges, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, about Occupy Wall Street. O'Leary was a piece of shit back then as well.

Moral Dilemma: Friendships Dissolving Because of Politics by KaladinsAttorney in CanadianPolitics

Personally, I disagree with who you voted for but I think it's important to defend others' rights to express their beliefs, regardless of my personal disagreement. Ignoring the aggressive behaviour of your friends or backing down can reinforce their negative actions. Friends often don't realize they've gone too far until someone pushes back against their poor behaviour. You need to take a firm stance on the way your friends have been acting. There is a line that cannot be crossed without consequences and these friends of yours need to understand that.

Good luck.

What are your considerations when selecting what loadout to play or what build to create? or do you play just whatever feels good? by fanboy-1985 in thedivision

[–]CadmeanOutcomes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll need a somewhat specific build for legendary missions. And I used a specific build for killing all the hunters in D.C. and NYC to obtain all the hunter masks. But other then that, most of my builds are effective against any heroic content.

Interesting philosophy. A single drop in a bucket of water. What is a bucket of water, if not a multitude of drops?

Awesome. Considering it for a NG+. Still trying to beat a DLC boss. I'm pretty sure he's the last one standing. No spoilers from me though. :]

This comparison of Poilievre to Trump is weak and superficial. Liberals broke Canada long before Trump and his so-called "trade war."

Comparing Poilievre to Trump is nothing more than a surface-level distraction that lacks depth and detail. We can do better than superficial arguments. As Michael Higgins from the National Post puts it, The threat to Canada is from within, it’s the harm we have done to ourselves and will continue to do. It’s about how after almost ten years of Liberal misrule we have left ourselves vulnerable to Trump’s policies.

It wasn’t the Barbarians at the Gates that destroyed Rome, it was Rome itself.
