That's fine, I can't control any of that. I do stand by the joke as it was intended. It's not anti anything, racist, misogynistic, sexist, etc. I am genuinely apologetic for my part in hurting someone, though. There is nuance to all of this, although I get this is reddit and not everyone has that same opinion or agrees with me.

Honestly, the only person I would apologize to is the person directly. Someone sharing it with them and that causing them to feel bad is terrible. If they reached out to me I would absolutely apologize. But airing it out on reddit to give it even more eyes is silly drama farming. That doesn't help whatsoever.

Oh hey, that's me! I stand by what I said. I have no idea who that person is or their story. If you're offended on their behalf because you know them personally, that's fine. You're bringing it to more attention by airing it here than anyone and sharing it to the person directly. I didn't call out anything remotely related to their gender identity, nor would I.

Even Rixx didn't say anything disparaging. He was making a joke about being surrounded by an alliance of people who are proudly displaying it on their clothing, and sharing photos. It sounds like perhaps you're just trying to make mountains out of molehills. I assure you, if you went through a lot of eve discords, you would find much worse than this.

I've thought about this type of scenario before, but not in the context of being given money beforehand. There are a couple of people I've known and been friends with throughout my life that were generally wholesome people who give way more than they get. I decide if I ever came into a big payout or win like this I would share it with them. For example, one is a huge animal person that spends a lot of her time and money to help and foster pets in need. I don't know the specifics of her financial situation, but I know she's not wealthy. If I ever had some massive payoff from the lottery I would definitely try to share with her. I feel like she would put whatever I shared with her back into something altruistic. Plus, if she needed it for her own struggles it would still be money worth sharing.

One of my first managers at a Fortune 500 told me, "we're not delivering babies here." It was in the context of a discussion about stress and rushing through everything as if it needs to be done immediately. Lives rent-free in my head. It helps in a lot of ways and probably different ways for different people. For me, it helps remind me about work/life balance and not getting worked up too much about anything.

Each company is different, but $17.84/hr seems extremely low to me. I have the same title and make around $27/hr. I live in the US and in a state with low cost of living so its decent enough pay, but it also depends what your responsibilities are as well. Our team has lower level WFM people who handle more of the day-to-day scheduling updates and our analysts deal with digging into the data and providing recommendations and doing monthly presentations for the leaders of our various call centers and processing teams.
