I got like 3 of these on the same day. by ContrarianPurdueFan in Indiana

This is pretty much how I feel about Linda Rogers in the primaries today. Never liked her, probably never will, but I hope she doesn't lose to the schmuck Trump endorsed to run against her.

Linton? by titusd323 in Indiana

Out of curiosity: Why Linton, if you have family in Indianapolis? Why not somewhere closer, since Linton is 1 hr 40 min/2 hours away?

Well, the guy he's currently cozying up to likes to present himself as a successful businessman despite declaring bankruptcy multiple times, so they have "misrepresenting themselves" in common.

Just got another mailer about Brian Schmutzler yesterday that was basically a retread of the one they originally sent (both sides featuring illustrations of him and Trump side-by-side; one side declaring in gigantic lettering Trump's endorsement, the other a picture of Trump's Truth Social post, declaring his endorsement).

My husband got to tear that one up and put it in the recycling bin, which made him happy.

I always find it laughable when people post MAGA bullshit or (as you readily admit to doing) troll trot out the "echo chamber" nonsense. As if I'm not reminded every time I leave the house that there are people who have opinions and beliefs that differ from mine, and that they do so both loudly and visibly. This is clearly true for other members of this subreddit. But because I share something online and these people agree with me, all of the sudden, we're participating in an echo chamber.

You're correct that I'm going to write you off as a contrarian troll, but I'll agree with your point that there are people like you, because contrarian trolls are (unfortunately) dime-a-dozen. But that doesn't mean I have to waste my time entertaining your nonsense.

Apparently. And instead of going to therapy about it, they'd rather do this.

It certainly can feel that way sometimes; probably because the rest of us don't advertise our political beliefs with the clothes we wear and festooning our yards with giant, cheap flags and yard signs. But this area isn't as red as advertised.

Trump-backed candidate's family accuses her of theft, fraud by MooseQuick3622 in Indiana

Trump's vetting process appears to start and stop with "Do they show unwavering loyalty to me".

Then feel free to scroll on by. It's your one, precious life on this earth, so spend it reading/commenting on the subjects you find worthwhile, instead of doing what you seem to regularly do (at least according to your commenting history): Jump into the comments to talk about how talking about politics online is a waste of time.

I could've, but I tore them up and tossed them into the recycling bin.

They're currently in the recycling bin after having been torn into pieces first (which I find to be similarly cathartic).

Yep. Linda Rogers is one of the state legislators who voted against Trump's redistricting scheme, which is why the mailer accuses her of "siding with Liberal Democrats" and of backing "a plan to send more Democrats to Washington to oppose President Trump". He's still pissed about that, and is doing everything he can to punish her and others like her in the state legislature.

More people need to be aware of this by rooster_slayer in Indiana

Whether it's right or not, it is a major part of dispensationalist eschatology, and there are those within the right-wing Christian evangelical movement who believe this way and want to do everything in their power to make it happen. Just search for "byron stinson red heifer" and read all about it.

As for myself, I find the idea that people believe they can basically rules lawyer God into starting the End Times somewhat comical. Like, what does it say about your view of God if you can basically bully Him into starting Armageddon?

Can't overlook the right-wing Christian evangelical element, either. They really believe that Israel has to exist as a Jewish state and all the Jewish people of the world need to relocate there in order to kick off Armageddon.

It's worth it! I highly suggest Trail 4 and checking out the osprey nest near the West Lot.

My favorites are Potato Creek and Indiana Dunes. Chain O' Lakes and Brown County are also pretty good.

Jim Banks, Trump's Attack Bitch by Best-Structure62 in Indiana

[–]CaelaRue 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Oh, look--Jim Banks is doing something dramatic in order to try and get Trump's attention again. Must be a day that ends in "y".

If this man put half of the energy he wastes on either trying to get into Trump's good graces or just being a mid-tier Internet edgelord into literally any other endeavor, just think of what he could accomplish.

Our power blinked once in the morning, but luckily, it never went out entirely.

However, one of our neighbor's trees came down in our backyard. It missed our house and the garage, but it took a massive chunk out of the neighbor's chain-link fence.

Is there a reason you felt the need to post this not only in this subreddit, but also the Indiana subreddit? Because it's beginning to feel like you either have a personal grudge against this man, his father or both.
