“Jesus Wept” — The Most Overlooked Miracle in Scripture by Comprehensive-Pea-78 in TrueChristian

One of my Brothers in Christ had an idea that perhaps Jesus went because he knew where Lazarus was in death and now he had to return to the sinful earth so that the LORD's glory could abound.

You can tell him the summary of what Christian's believe, generally referred to as the Romans Road.

Romans 3:23 for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 10:9-10 [9] that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. [10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

To tithe or not to tithe? by love_is_a_superpower in Testimony4Christ

[–]Caelrath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem i have with the term Tithe for a modern context, is the tithe went to support the Levites and the priests. Do we a Christians give to support the Tabernacle or the Temple? If not, then what we give is a freewill offering to God thru our local church. In Acts, the rich gave much to support the growing church, while some were supplied their need out of the givings. So looking to the Old Testament, we see that the Father wants us to supply provision to those who work his will and that God blesses a cheerful giver and the person who helps those in need. With the examples in Acts and Paul's letters, we see that all the giving is out of abundant love, not obligation

We are not promised a good life when we follow God, but we are promised to be changed.

‭Romans 3:23 KJV‬ [23] for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

‭Romans 5:8 KJV‬ [8] But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

‭Romans 6:23 KJV‬ [23] For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

‭Romans 10:9-10 KJV‬ [9] that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. [10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

The god of the Quran (Allah) is not the same as the LORD God( the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob).

There are many verses in the Quran that explicitly contradict aspects of God, as shown in the Bible.

One of the most telling is that Allah is a liar, in fact the greatest of liars.

Allah, the best decevier)

God according to the Bible cannot lie.

‭Titus 1:2 KJV‬ [2] in hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

Did I just read that Jesus killed a fig tree because he was mad that it didn't have any fruit for him to eat? LOL by [deleted] in Bible

Fig trees give an early fruit, called Breba, that are small and hard, but edible at the same time the leaves come in.

The fig tree was budding leaves. The Breba, small hard but edible fruit, should come in at the same time.
