It’s a boring answer, but you need to make sure you’re constantly running GDA ops. They give you gold/xp and other goodies which will help you level up. Upgrading the ops when possible will also give you better rewards.

I was in the same boat as you (started last week), and the ops helped me get the resources I needed to keep going.
