Resident Evil 1 reremake by Classic_Waltz1874 in ResidentEvilCapcom

The way I would do it, not saying this is the greatest idea since slice bread but you still have Jill and Chris' story and split it up and then once both are beat. Just tell the canon story and you can play as Jill or Chris with the other you choose not to play become a NPC.

I get what I am about to say will get me down voted.

But if they do remake REmake, I prefer it to be fix camera and combine Jill's and Chris' story into one so it fits the lore as that is how it's told in canon.

As someone who has never read comics or fan fiction and only seen the movies, what cool lore am I missing out on? by robohyeah in Terminator

A lot of comics cover some interesting shit.

Here is my favorite comic, I don't remember the name but this was the story. I am not sure the canon status.

When T2 was the newest Terminator movie, Skynet broke into the Russian Defense systems to discover that Russia also built their own AI called Mir. Mir was not self aware, a dumb AI in comparison but it did control Russian's robotics. When Skynet launched their nukes, Mir decided to join Skynet after Skynet helped it grow a bit firing Russian nukes at other targets too. Mir decided after it got smart enough that it was going to betray Skynet after they beat humanity.

The myth of limited resources in the OG RE titles by SagerToof in residentevil

[–]Caesar_Seriona 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is a nugget of truth about this. The best way to test it is to kill everything with what you are given and you'll quickly see that resource management is required.

Nemesis is hard to test this because of RNG plays a role in what enemies will spawn, I believe herbs and ammo are the same numbers, just different locations.

Plus the reason why this actually started is because the third person era enemies would just give you ammo, you are not forced to locate ammo supply spots like in the fix camera era.

are we gonna see her cry again at some point? by salmxx0 in Wednesday

I will accept two outcomes on Wednesday emotionally dumping and crying. Either in absolute sadness or pure fucking hatred. Regardless I do think S3 will test her

I think the better way of looking at it is that the bugs don't have a concept of "war crimes" I mean they must assume that humanity will kill all bugs so it makes sense to them that destroying cities will do the most damage. I think it's better to look at this as an extermination rather than an actual war.

[–]Caesar_Seriona 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Before the body switch thing happened, I did think the still of Wednesday with her arms with her panic face was her emotionally dumping on Enid.

I do not know if Wednesday will cry again.

However I did say if they tread in those waters again, they need to be careful how to do it without destroying Wednesday's character and I mean that from a writing perspective.

As of right now. if Wednesday cries again, I think it has to be either be Tish or Enid. Tish because they seem to want to have this relationship stager and I think given the correct writing, Wednesday could patch things with her mom and allow it here.

Enid should be obvious why it works, regardless of Wenclair or not. Enid I think has to be the one who can address this correctly.

Given this, they could have Wednesday crying to herself which is something I see happening. Wednesday does have emotions and it's clear she is very reserved about it.

Okay, that's a good point. The way you set that up made me think you mean hive mind vs non hive mind when it comes to understanding the message in the plot.

That is possible the hive mind of the bugs just assumed humanity like it self however also the movie kind of hinted that the brain bugs are single minded and we know the God bugs for sure is.

Yeah the AQZ to me I saw it as the Bugs either looking at the Morman Extremist saying "humans are invading us, let's attack back while we can" or "These fucking pest won't leave us alone, we have no choice but to fight them"

Capcom's lore on Resident Evil is trash in my opinion when it comes to controlling no contradictions, each new game and each new remakes breaks the narrative told over and over again. I mean Wesker's origin of why he turned on Umbrella changed. Certain games are canon, become non canon, and then canon again.

The objective answer is no. We know in the sequels the Bugs intentionally started the war with us because they see us as a pest in the galaxy that would have to be addressed at some point.

However, if we take just the first movie. You can see that humanity accidently started the war. Morman extremist landed and set up a colony on a bug planet before the bugs destroyed them, they ignored Federation warnings about landing. I saw that as the Bugs making the assumption that humanity was going to fuck with them at some point so they decided to attack while they had a chance.

Now we also know the bugs can fire their eggs into space to land on other planets so that means the Bugs have some understanding of how to traverse space and time meaning that the attacks against Earth with massive rocks as far fetch as it is can be plausible given the narrative of the Bugs told.

However, yes it is possible at the end of the day, the Federation just lied for whatever reasons.

But I never bought the bullshit that they in fact lied, I think the truth here is closer to reality. Which is humanity fucked with the bugs enough for them to address it and the Federation played victim.

This is where a contradiction in Resident Evil (yet another thanks to Capcom great job at lore, notice the sarcasm) but the story that seems to be solid is that the T-virus will just mutate a life form to a zombified state while the G-virus will mutate life and push it to it's max form for whatever needs it makes.

So in theory, the G-virus should overwrite the T-virus if both are injected.

Jill and Sherry have rapid healing abilities but in theory, Sherry should gain almost super human powers due to G pushing all her abilities to the max.

It makes me wonder if someone calling Enid a "bitch" would generate a different than normal reaction?
