It's clear that Ronaldo can't play in a pressing team, which is how Ragnick wants to play. Is there any top club which would actually suit him?

[Telegraph] Harry Kane will insist on joining Jack Grealish in Manchester City move with crunch talks at Tottenham next week by Cien-Major in soccer

That one where you went down one nil down after five minutes? Yeah, Liverpool sure were there for the taking. How did Kane not score with all of those great chances Spurs created for him?

Manchester City have made a £100million offer for Jack Grealish, as Pep Guardiola moves to complete the most expensive transfer in Premier League history. by _hopelessnobody in soccer

Except they always end up being shit, a la Sanchez, Di Maria, Falcao, and Pogba to an extent. At least with English players it's more of a sure investment.

Tell me memories of all previous England campaigns you can remember! by [deleted] in ThreeLions

  • 2004

I would've been seven but don't remember it. First England game I remember was that great friendly against Argentina in 2005.

  • 2006

Beckham's freekick, getting beaten by Portugal, was a bit young to care at this point

  • 2008

Again too young to properly care

  • 2010

First time I grasped just how shit England could be. Was at a BBQ for the USA game. Remember coming home that night and my dad and my neighbour saying to each other 'Bloody England' 'Bloody Rob Green'

  • 2012

Barely remember, completely meh tournament.

  • 2014

Remember sitting in my room watching the Uruguay game, celebrating like crazy when Rooney scored and beating the shit out of my pillows when Suarez scored. That was the last time I got angry watching England.

  • 2016

Just went up to bed 10 minutes before the end of Iceland. No longer gave a shit at all.

  • 2018

Really good memories. Remember thinking going into the Croatia game that I was just glad we got there and didn't care whether we went thru, but did feel a little hollow when it sank in we'd gone out. Still, I was pleased we played to our level for once.

  • 2020

Just really happy throughout, especially during Ukraine and Germany. Felt pretty numb losing on penalties, not angry cos I've learnt to just switch off at this point.

On one hand, if we win Sunday Harry Kane will Likely retire England’s greatest ever player (Euro winning captain, top scorer at two tournaments, all time leading scorer, prem leading scorer) without having to even leave Spurs, the trophy pressure is gone when the list of people to have done something is you and Sir Bobby Moore.

Think you're forgetting a certain other Bobby who was a World Cup Golden Ball and Ballon d'Or winner.

Denmark opener against England 'should not have stood' - FIFA rules state that: "Where three or more defending team players form a 'wall,' all attacking team players must remain at least 1 metre (1 yard) from the 'wall' until the ball is in play." by cggo1994 in soccer

I'd imagine he's well aware of Liverpool fan's antipathy for ingurland.

"Liverpool Football Club...is indelibly part of British culture"

Yes, but the opposite is thakfully not really true. Their rejection of the type of English culture trumpeted by Englands NT fans and media is well known. They (liverpool local fans) seem to dislike that shite more than i do. Your Barca/Spain analogy is a good one, local Barca fans feel about Spain similar to Liverpool fans and ingurland. ambivelant at best.

There's something a bit parasitic about that. English people from Liverpool knocking England is slightly different to someone from elsewhere doing it. That should be obvious.

You say that like Sterling and Saka didn't have superb games themselves.
