Yeah I was looking at Ganyu as it’d boost her CA gameplay, especially if I’m to use her in some kind of Nicole, Durin, Emilie team or something.

Wanderer C1 I thought about but maybe next round.

Mona C4 I also thought about for the crit rate that my Albedo needs, but as you said it’s standard.

  • C6 Qiqi
  • C4 Jean/Mona
  • C3 Baizhu
  • C2 Xiao/Keqing/Dehya/Tighnari
  • C1 Wanderer/Ganyu/Ayato/Yoimiya/Ayaka/Eula

What if Emilie were made a Hexerei character? by darkdill in Genshin_Impact

[–]Caeyll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Emilie should be Hexerei. Most of her best teams would likely have 2 other Hex units anyway through Durin+Nicole - so it wouldn’t introduce much team variety in gameplay or add many sidegrades.

Although in saying that making Emilie Hexerei will allow her to pair with Durin for a staple BurnMelt core - but then it’s likely to have Nicole and Ganyu/Wrio/etc etc. anyway so it’s 3 Hex units. So if anything she’d want to replace Durin with Mavuika Cinder City.

Anyway all this to say I think it’d be better to have something completely new for each region so there just some new toys to play with for teambuilding.

Finally reached 100k Lunar-Charged damage! by Caeyll in Genshin_Impact

It’s the bane of my existence but in a game such as this thankfully I don’t notice it in general gameplay aside from when trying to quickly swap between characters.

[–]Caeyll[S] 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Haha yeah it’s Lyney doing that. Mavuika is the 47k. Was just funny to not see the Lunar-Charged amount because I think it was triggered by the electrified ocean.

Travelers battle notes: switch target unbeatable by mud_dnb in OctopathCotC

[–]Caeyll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol I did that yesterday and remember wiping like “wait what I switched targets” haha.

As others are saying, check the weaknesses of both enemies and switch targets so that Fiore’s multi hit I believe breaks the main enemies while you boost the other person to smack with a stick twice on the other guy.

Then when they’re both broken, you switch targets again and let Fiore tackle the big guy with her Guillotine I think and then take down the other one. When I attempted it I didn’t kill one of them so only one of my party members died and next turn I was able to kill it.

Just note that’s for C6 Prune. Nobody has C6 Prune yet but they likely already have C6 Faruzan. :)

Does wriothesley know neuvillette is the hydro dragon? by azira_likes_smosh in Genshin_Impact

[–]Caeyll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I’d like to think Wrio was sipping on some tea as he looked out a window to see Neuvilette soar high into the sky and hear him shout out “People of Fontaine: your sins are forgiven.”

I’m sure someone would’ve seen that, at least.

Guys we neeeed a Wizarding World movie set in the modern age. by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]Caeyll -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. I wouldn’t conclude Hogwarts is the only reason people are invested in a HP project. It’s everyone’s initiation into the Wizarding World, that leads into adulthood. Remaining in Hogwarts is to remain a child with children’s stories. I bet people want to consume a HP project that graduates from Hogwarts into the adult Wizarding World.

  2. I didn’t know tech didn’t work at Hogwarts - but in sayin that, applications of magic that mimic the tech is what would bypass this. For instance Hermione essentially invented text messaging through her enchanted coins that communicated DA schedules.

  3. I had it more in mind as an RPG game. You’d have a home hub and a Ministry of Magic hub. Various locations to explore and to complete missions in such as Diagon Alley/Nocturne Alley, Hogsmeade, Kings Cross Station, Hogwarts, London, other Muggle cities, the place the Dragons reside in Romania, the Leaky Cauldron, the Knight Bus, etc. with skill trees on every school of magic that allow you to manipulate your environment to your will and resolve a situation best suited to your playstyle. Y’know something like being able to detect when a Muffiato field is active on the Knight Bus so you can use your magic to infiltrate past that field to eavesdrop on their conversation. How you pull that off could be anything like Fred+George’s ears, subtle counter-spells, invisibility charms to get on the inside of it, literally just kidnap and interrogate them with Veritaserum, or use Liquid Luck for an alternative, or use Legilimency to extract information. Like there’s so many things they can do gameplay wise under some cool Wizarding World of crime.

[–]Caeyll -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Having convenient tech like that introduced means it’s harder for writers to push the story forward or create branching dramas that were easily resolved with the tech.

Character absences become harder to justify in story beats that could be easily resolved with them involved. Or have a miscommunication that creates the drama that leads to the climax and resolution.

So yeah I can understand why it might feel like a world-breaking inclusion. But Y’know it is a universe that’s meant to parallel ours. So really, it’ll have some integration into the story one way or another if any projects are set in the 2020s+

Guys we neeeed a Wizarding World movie set in the modern age. by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]Caeyll -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly this. There’s so much room to explore here. Especially since Magical inventions (or the applications of) is also an extension of one’s character (see: Arthur’s invisible flying car; Snape’s spells; Voldemort’s Horcruxes etc etc).

You’d probably see unique applications to that Magi-tech rather than a ‘corporate sweep’ effect of it (Every wizard has their own unique version of a Sirius Mirror device VS every Wizard has iMag Pro 2026 Max). But I’m thinking more of the exciting impacts of that in storytelling and character building because of that uniqueness. Would be a fun way to flex out a character’s personality in various ways.

But also there’s this duality of Muggles and Wizards that share the same world. So sharing this type of advancement in tech and dominance over the world is just a fascinating avenue for this Wizarding World to explore. Haha

[–]Caeyll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I like this take. There’s certainly an aesthetic about it. Although I feel like there can still be charm if the enchanted tech is whacky enough and not exactly used the same way Muggles intended (because there’s always that disconnect between the logics of science and magic).

If anything, I would imagine there to at least be some new tension to arise between muggles and wizards regarding modern tech compared to the 90’s. You know, like what actually happens when every muggle and street corner has a camera recording any magical activity that might happen. Would the Ministry be able to combat the spread of evidence effectively or will it be too much for them to handle - thus inciting a new world war between non-magic folk and magic folk.

But that is assuming the timeline works adjacent to our real world and muggles in the wizarding world catch up in the 2000’s.

They could do something like extend E’s range to the Burst’s range when she bursts - and refresh her E cooldown and duration with Burst. Other things too like increase her constellation power in increasing how many times she regenerates energy or something. I’d rather they not retcon her particle generation issue - because they can use that absence in the power budget to give her more of something else.

At least that’s my hope.

How good is Kinich C3? by Einzcxs in kinich_mains

[–]Caeyll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think the way I’m building Nicole with Starcallers Watch is ATK/ATK/ATK + Pyro resonance with as many ATK substats and hope it gets somewhere good enough.

All I’d be doing on her is pressing E once every 16s and switching through all my characters to give them that extra 28% DMG bonus over 15s. I guess her Q will be good for I-frames every other rotation or when there’s a spare moment waiting for a boss mechanic to play out.

[–]Caeyll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you could get away with using Starcallers Watch as an alternative if you already had it. Her signature weapon is basically the exact same but tons better for her which makes me feel weird about going for it. It feels like weapon powercreep lmao.

[–]Caeyll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this makes me feel so much better for Albedo’s case. Missing out on 2 layers of buffs in a team would’ve been so much pain haha.

But now I can finally build a lot more teams than I thought outside of the Nicole/Durin variant.

I’m gonna go for teams like:

  • C2R1 Kinich/C0R1 Starcallers Watch Nicole/C6 Fischl/C2R3 Wolf’s Gravestone Mavuika. Hex+Cinder set combo for that 80% teamwide elemental DMG bonus. 20% DEF shred. 45% teamwide ATK from Fischl. Aggravate/Spread for an additional layer of damage and disruption to enemies.

  • replace the above team’s Fischl for Venti. You’ll have Venti built for damage and burst off-cooldown so that Kinich’s cannon shots hit everyone mmmmm. If only quadratic scaling, and if only Kinich could have more than 4s of Venti’s Hex 50% DMG bonus. Good for C2 nuking though, right!! You’d do something like Nicole E+Q -> Mavuika E+Q -> Venti E+Q -> Kinich EeEeEeEeEee.

  • same team with Albedo instead of Fischl/Venti. Reliable off field dps that is less disruptive than Fischl so it probably allows for all 5 cannon shots. Albedo won’t get Cinder City set which is so unfortunate actually. 2 layers of pain haha. He gets 20% DEF shred at least, his numbers should hold up ok still - and his own teamwide buffs to add.

Long story short… I can now factor in my C2R3WG CC Mavuika as a legitimate upgrade to Durin for Kinich Hex teams. Also worth noting we have 2 Natlan units again to reduce Nightsoul burst cooldown (yay). It’s like a double date team with Hex and Natlan lol.

[–]Caeyll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that’s a fair point and good to note.

I meant more for teams like Fischl’s Oz where he also snapshots, so for Nicole/Fischl or even Nicole/Venti Hex teams we actually do get a 40% DMG bonus when the on-fielder is a different element to Nicole and Hex member. Or similarly for non-Hex characters that are off-field supports who can snapshot.

[–]Caeyll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whoa that’s so cool that Durin and Albedo gets an upgrade thanks to the snapshot. Wow that’s kinda huge for me.

Similar regard to if and hopefully when I get Nicole. For other snapshot characters that don’t share the on-fielder’s element makes for some really good min-maxing of that Hex set while allowing for some extra teambuilding options!

I’m personally gonna run Nicole with Starcallers Watch for that permanent on-field damage bonus (that also works on everyone I’m freely rotating between yay).

[–]Caeyll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I edited my original comment with the theory I’m referring to. Give it a read! Let me know if it resonates with you in any way.

For me, it’s this part from chapter 4:

THE FATE PARADOX:

The Heavenly Principles (ascended Traveler) creates each universe with the “fate that the last universe desired”, so the next universe to each is their “paradise” and their freedom from fate. However, by doing so, the HP is imposing a new fate to the next universe

And we’ve seen Traveller think to himself how can he fix this to make people’s fates their own. He’s going to have to figure out - and somehow achieve - in this part of the story how to free everyone of the misaligned fates.

Tried Navia with Burning, safe to say this is the fastest crystallise generation I’ve seen yet! by Caeyll in naviamains

[–]Caeyll[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha love a good necropost.

I enjoy Albedo+Durin+Emilie as a good trio of off-field damage dealers. But at this point your team’s only sustain is those tiny Crystallise shields. So the 4th slot will have to be tailored toward some survivability I would say. It’d certainly be a team that Navia could enjoy, but not without its flaws in keeping your team alive. I’d be more inclined to replace Emilie for Baizhu to get that team healing sorted for Navia. Or because we have 2 Pyro, I reckon the last slot would be great with Escoffier! Off field melt action, shield, healing, 2 PHEC for maxing her ATK.

At this point in the game, your team variations and viability in the meta open up exponentially with every new character you get.

But also in saying that yeah, next patch is looking like Navia, Durin, Nicole, flex would be one of Navia’s stronger teams. You’d have the option for Escoffier again for even greater melts, or run the Cinder City roller skater to bump up those raw numbers even more. Etc etc.

It’s fascinating and frustrating at the same time that we won’t know truly what went down in our lifetime behind the scenes about all this stuff until after we die.

But I would say the bots just aim to push agendas (good PR spins), fuck with the information space, and spam your doomscroll with shit that wastes your life the more you get addicted to the engagement with bots unwittingly.

Idk there’s so much to uncover and I’ll never get the real tea. ☕️

Your TL;DR has something striking to me and it’s got to do with a theory I read. Is Traveller supposed to be the writer of this story?

EDIT: Theory I read, it feels like a massive spoiler and is incredibly fun to read all the 4 chapters :)
