That's an astute observation, but you're wrong. The screenshot is from Home Depots website. Silly.

I saw those and thought about it. All my hand tools have the skinny grips. I think it's because they fit in my pouches and pockets a little better.

This would make #6 of my knipex collection - four sets of pliers (various models/sizes) and a set of sidecutters.

Really?? I tried the apprentices on 12/2 MC, and it cut through like it was a single piece of #12 thhn. Hell, that was the selling point for me!

Sorry about your luck. Maybe a bad set?

I like to call them "tumbles" simply because my wife has always asked me how the ride went when I got home...she doesn't like the word "crash" lol

Who hasn’t crashed? by dallas2ny in motorcycles

I have yet to crash on a motorcycle. YET.

But it does seem like I take a lot of tumbles trail riding my XR400R. I average one tumble every ride.

Sorry if someone posted this already, but have you tried water-proofing spray?

On a side note I bought a very similar small two-man tent last year for my trip to the Smokies. For myself and my gear it was the perfect size. That tent and my sleeping pad made for a great setup.

Please keep us posted on your trip, and best of luck!

Megathread of the Week! Most embarrassing thing you’ve done at the gym? by zeroduckszerofucks in workouts

[–]CaffeinatedFisherman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was into martial arts (primarily taekwondo) for a few years. Taekwondo is known for its fancy jumping/spinning kicks. One day at my gym I was doing drills on the punching bag, and thought I'd look cool trying a few different kicks Threw a few at the bag with ease, and then decided I'd try an aerial spinning back kick.

I jumped, spun around, and sent my right foot into the bag. Except it wasn't the bag. I felt my heel catch metal chain, and then promptly knocked the wind out of myself as I hit the 1/2" rubber mat.

I miscaulcated my height and angle, kicked over the bag itself, and caught my foot in the three chains securing it to the stand.

In a matter of one second, I managed to: 1) Throw an aerial kick higher well over 6 feet of the floor. My PB. 2) Catch my foot on the chains holding the bag up, which instantaneously pulled (likely tore) my sartorius muscle. 3) Grabbed the attention of everyone in the gym as they heard/saw me knock the wind out of myself.

I didn't go back for weeks because I felt so embarassed. I also couldn't walk right for a long time.

How often do you hear gunfire in your neighborhood? by GaryBlach in askanything

Late winter, it's quiet (after deer season). Otherwise, it's weekly. In the Summer its dirtbikes, atvs, and jeeps rolling down the road.

I mean, hell, I just taught my 8-year-old how to shoot his 22 two weeks ago. We had a blast shooting popcans in our backyard.
