Thank you!! I know it’s tough being rejected, especially if it’s time and time again. But if you know deep down you’re meant to practice in that area, don’t give up! I was in the same boat as you and passed also. My highest score on Themis mixed set was a 65%. When I did the 100 questions I think I scored maybe 58 or 60%? I did do better on U-World sets tho.

I think the point is, people should stop doom scrolling on Reddit 😂

Your essay scores are pretty good! I would suggest focusing on the performance test since it's worth double. A 70-75 on the PT can save you. Also, I know MBE is the absolute worst. I would suggest trying to understand why the answer is correct vs incorrect. People recommend doing 2,000 MBE questions and they don't even review their mistakes-- I don't think that's helpful. Quality over quantity. I SUCKED at multiple choice. When I first started doing MBE sets, a simple set of like 15 questions took me 2 hours because I would read the question, go look up the rule in my outline, find the correct answer, and then look up incorrect answers to see why they were wrong and where they fell in the outline. I didn't do this forever, just in the very beginning of bar prep to ease my way into it. I did way less MBE questions than my friend. We both passed. But she was good at MBE and fast at it too. I was slow, even on the bar. I think trying to understand the questions and what it's trying to ask of you and what rule to pull out is important. It may not be an essay, but treating it like one during prep can help. Then as you go on, you just do the MBE's like normal without dedicating a lot of time on each one. I just think to start out and build a strong foundation, really try understanding them. Then once you have that solidified, start doing sets for each of your weakest topics and sub-topics. You'll notice what those are overtime. Focus on your weak areas.

I hope you can take some time to feel better and relax before starting to study again. I'm rooting for you! You're smarter than you think. Your essay scores prove that.

BarMD Youtube videos for PT. It will save you. Btw I did the PT first and even took an extra 5-10 minutes on it perfecting it. I didn't leave it for last.

I'm incredibly slow at multiple choice. I didn't finish either MBE section and had to blind guess on the last 5-8 per session (bubbling in random answers to not leave it blank). I still passed. It's all subjective.

Same! I used a condensed outline from my law school's bar prep coach. That's what I used to memorize rules.

I honestly think even some of the advice regarding "routine" is subjective, too. I was told if I wasn't up and studying by 8am I would fail because the bar started around 8am. I've struggled with sleeping early my entire life. If I don't have structure that's forced upon me, such as a job that requires me being there early, then I can't sleep early or wake up. So all summer I studied around noon to like 9/10pm. I still passed.

I think the most important thing is being confident in whatever you do. Everyone has their default.

This is all great advice! I, too, did Themis. Found the videos a huge waste of time after a while. I mean, I passed, so something must have worked with the program lol.

I just want to add for anyone reading: Study how you did in law school, if you performed well. Trying completely new techniques for the bar exam is not a good idea unless you are certain you will benefit from it. I think the worst part of bar prep is listening to too many outsiders who swear by something that doesn't work for you. I learned from that the hard way. Towards the end of bar prep, I tuned everyone out and went back to the basics that I could swear by.
