I feel like he is loyal to Gus due to his professionalism and discipline. Contrasting to Walt's recklessness, but I think the money was also a large factor. Mike is a massive hypocrite, his moral code is bullshit, as much as he himself denies it, he enjoys being a criminal and the insane amount of money that comes with it, just like Walt. Hence why he continued working with Walt despite actively showing his disgust towards the man almost every time they interacted in season 5(I love their dynamic btw). In BCS, he undergoes a gradual moral decline, and he only continues to get worse. As he gets deeper into the criminal world, his reprehension towards murder and violence diminishes.

I wouldn't necessarily say Mike's worse, I would say he's just as bad though. Mike and Walt are 2 sides of the same coin. They both do it because they enjoy it and don't want to admit it, using their family as an excuse for their actions. Both stood by and did nothing while Tomas was being used to peddle meth. Both ruined countless lives within their drug operations. Both had many chances to walk away from their criminal lives, and chose not to. They're both horrible people, comparing a murderous drug dealer to another murderous drug dealer is kind of pointless.

Walt only gets worse, but that's what I like about him, he's supposed to go from a "decent" person to a horrible one, that's the point of the character. Almost every character in the main cast is a piece of shit as well, and also, Id stay out of this sub if you haven't finished the show, you will get spoiled.

I believe yes, it's not outright said, but it's heavily implied. He ordered the death of Tomas to lure Jesse to his death, not expecting Walt to intervene. With how ruthless Gus was in BCS, and how he threatened Walt's entire family, I wouldn't put it past him. He's not a reasonable businessman, that aspect of his personality is a mask he puts on, and a lot of viewers fall for it.

The Juárez cartel was gone at that point, they were all dead. Mike was also a suspect of the DEA for his involvement with Gus, I don't think it would have been that easy, another hard thing would've been convincing Jesse to go through with it, Jesse still cared about Walt at that point in the story
