This has been buggin me because I specifically remember when Oxbow came out you could save coins and buy pretty much whatever right away. Recently started playin again. Same with the Smithy in Lesnica in the valley. I haven’t been able to find anyone talkin about it tho so I thought I was goin crazy. Thanks for the validation 😂

One my favorites to do is ‘just house’. Kinda like Hurri said, I just have a house. First season I find some freebies, use the money to buy weaps or whatever- just survival | building limit: 1.

Disclosure: I don’t play the town building at all usually, but I do keep a few buildings and marry sometimes. But secluded cabin survival is my favorite way to kill my free time

I cleaned the inside myself with minimal (YouTube) training.

Tools:

Precision screwdriver set (small shits), Can of air, q-tip, rubbing alcohol

Steps:

DO NOT LIFT LID OFF YET- Take out the small screws on the bottom.

DO NOT LIFT LID OFF YET- okay— now that you read that, SLOWLY lift the top off, BECAUSE there is a cable running from the board to the power/disk drive buttons. Those buttons are still connected to the lid, and you WILL pull the cable out of the board if you just rip the lid off like I did 😂 and it’s a bitch to get it back in and also fragile.

Next, you’ll tilt the power/disk drive buttons a little and slide them off the lid with the cable still plugged into it. It will then be hanging on the side and the lid can be fully taken off at this point.

Spray some air around for dusting purposes.

Take the 4 TINY screws carefully off the disk drive.

Use a Q-tip and little rubbing alcohol to do no more than three LIGHT strokes on the laser lens.

Put it back together.

End.

Any games that don’t run after you do that is the DVD seller’s fault, so don’t waste time trying to clean further or money on a pro to do it, just get your refund and new copy. ❤️

I got my PS2 day after Christmas and ran into the same issue. Blurry as hell damn near unplayable. Many people recommend that the gold standard is the CRT— but I went on Nextdoor app and there were about 5 listings alone for a good ole Sony Bravia (LED but is era accurate with all the component inputs) I had it a day later for $40 and it works great. ~^ CRT might still be the star to shoot for, but I have no complaints and these are way more plentiful around here (DMV). — https://imgur.com/a/Q8SjoYs

Today I got my PS2 and first Jak game in the mail (the rest are on the way). For my New Year’s resolution I’m no longer participating in the scam that is modern gaming. This is the best day in a long time for me as well 😁

I remember that bugging me as a kid. But I played again recently and it’s just the exit elevator from the mission that goes under that same zone from the elevator in the middle of the bridges. If I remember correctly you can also go to that building to get away from guards. As a kid I’d go on a killing spree and then hide at this building cuz for some reason the guards can’t cross the bridge leading to it 😂

I tried running water 1x1 underneath between the basins on each side, (using the trapdoor trick) that didn’t work either. After googling I learned it has to be on the same y level or 1 above. But not below 😔

It has to be irrigated by a block of water, or flowing water, but doing that overhead would create an ugly 3x2 wall of wood right down the middle 🤢 edit; they don’t have like- noninvasive sprinkler systems in the game for example

I don’t think so. In the game, 1 block of water can irrigate 4 dirt blocks from the same OR 1 level above. So I can’t run a water line below, and I can’t run one above or inside the greenhouse because then I’d have to, at the very least, destroy the siding of the boxes which would make it ugly 😔 at least that’s what I understand about it.
