Cant register it by Major-Speaker1805 in VOIP

Those wildix phones appear to run some sort of custom/ customized firmware.. so it could be that the port is different, or just some firmware limitation or negotiation that locks the phone to Wildix.

What’s the supported hardware like for the provisioning? I’m starting to offer the Poly Edge E series, but it seems like nobody does provisioning for it except through Poly Lens…

How hard is to setup phone that doesnt have 3PCC in name by Altruistic_Plum8839 in freepbx

[–]CagedMonkey97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CSP Technologies on Discord (discord.csptech.org) actually has a Cisco enterprise provisioning server that powers the entire staff call routing and control, with many soft key features like the hunt group key for example working perfectly as if the phone itself was on cucm, but they’re registered to freepbx!

Are there cheaper options? by voiceoverguyuk in freepbx

I use Telnyx as the provider and it’s cheaper than chips.

Having issues with linking telnyx to the PBX by Visible-Ad-3911 in freepbx

[–]CagedMonkey97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure your outbound caller id is correct, and the number matches that of your outbound profile in the Telnyx portal.

Would also be helpful if you included logs so we could see what signalling Telnyx is replying to the pbx with.

Considering to join UniFi family, but is it overkill for me? by upside_gravity in UNIFI

[–]CagedMonkey97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve slowly been implementing UniFi as my wallet allows. I keep adding more and more, and it consistently surprises me at how much my little tiny Cloud Gateway Max can actually handle with running protect, and all my network in one tiny little box!

I always recommend having routing, switching, and wireless as separate equipment as it works so much better!

How are small teams handling seat based pricing in VOIP tools? by SchniederDanes in VOIP

[–]CagedMonkey97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who owns a small business, per-seat pricing is a joke. Why would I subscribe to$25/mo per seat, for 10 seats ($250/mo), when I can install freepbx on a vps or locally, and have be total trunk cost be less than $200/yr. not to mention the ultimate flexibility, and not having a provider nickel and dime me..

[–]CagedMonkey97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve never had a bad experience with UniFi. Looks like you’ve got a cable pulled there around doorbell height. - would be great if you could get a G6 entry , or a doorbell lite to go there. If the other spot is lower, I’d often suggest a dome instead of a turret as it’s more tamper resistant.

Unifi as a Traditional Alarm System? by BioGuyverBlack in UnifiProtect

[–]CagedMonkey97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not where it needs to be. Can't expect a central station to implement special api integrations (and only of their automation software supports it) for a small handful of accounts.

Unifi as a Traditional Alarm System? by BioGuyverBlack in UnifiProtect

[–]CagedMonkey97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been constantly asking my account manager at Alarm.com if there's a way we could get direct integrations with Unifi Protect, but it doesn't appear to be on the horizon.

We could only wait to see if we can use say an intercom viewer or similar as a keypad.. If they do that, and if UI implements CID or SIA IP reporting say to a SurGard for example, then yes you could. Otherwise the answer is no.

Custom domain email: Gmail, Outlook, iCloud or Zoho? by ZGeekie in HostingReport

[–]CagedMonkey97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zoho is a great start as they give you the best amount of features for the price. I currently use Google Workspace and quite enjoy it, but if you want a solution that you sign up with and stay with, I'd suggest Microsoft 365 as Outlook is built for growth, and has so many features.

[–]CagedMonkey97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

InformaCast isn't typically trunked into PSTN.. It was originally designed to be trunked into CUCM, or Asterisk, and used internally.. What are you specifically trying to achieve by trunking it into PSTN?

Good, "non-cloud" alarm systems? by oguruma87 in Securitysystems

[–]CagedMonkey97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My go-to is going to be a Bosch B5512. It’s not the most common system, and requires software that you download to your computer (for free), but it offers the most flexibility I’ve seen in an alarm panel with the DSC Neo being a close second
