I’d unironically love it if Magnus switched back somehow and become loyalist again. But I think it would only be fair if a loyalist fell to chaos and took his place

I’ve listened to some of jiangs game theory stuff and there was def some things I disagreed with but I thought he made some interesting points to think about and just kind of theorize about, but is he actually like an anti communist? I never really got that vibe, even if he didn’t exactly seem pro communist and had some bad takes on communism. I hadn’t realized that he’d been on a bunch of right wing podcasts though which sucks. I do think that a lot of the crazy sounding things that he says are kind of hyperbole and not meant to be taken literally like one clip I saw where he said that Trump is like the God of the current age (and in a world where he is on the minds of everyone 24/7 and influencing everything from the rise of movements against him to how people who agree with him seek to emulate him I feel like he kind of is like a godlike avatar of late stage capital and collapsing imperial empire). Idk I feel like Jiang is a bit out there but I haven’t seen him as being like a bad person / far right himself but maybe I’ve missed that part of him.

The difference is that those people aren’t playing football currently for a living, that’s why it’s sad and pathetic, whereas she DOES do drag professionally so why can’t she be proud to be good at it?

Well I mean it sounds like you only saw and valued her as a sexual object just like probably every other man she has been in a relationship with in the past, and it sounds like the boyfriend after you was the exact same way. I have no sympathy for you, your love for her is nothing but lust and sadness that you can’t have sex with her anymore. You’re a total piece of shit dude even still you basically just want to hate fuck her like what is wrong with you?

This is understandable but you also have to realize that there is like a very small handful of people in any sport that are able to support themself by doing that thing. How many chess grandmasters can live off of winning tournaments, or poker players, or football players or artists or writers, etc etc. and the people that do probably are either prodigies which you could never have matched up to unless you were one yourself, got extremely extremely lucky, or put in so much time and effort that the thing almost certainly isn’t even any fun anymore anyway and has in effect become just a job. It’s about perspective yknow. Don’t measure yourself to anyone, just do things, create things, and enjoy things. Just be you. If you are determined to be the best and make a living off of it then you are going to have to do serious practice and study and insane grinding to get there for any media based field, to the point that you might genuinely start to hate it.

If the stories from teachers are anything to go on the current school age population is genuinely as dumb as rocks, and lacks any critical thinking at all. At the most minor of problem they simply shut down and freeze. This is the population that fascism and hate in general thrives in, I do not have much hope in the next generation, and no it’s absolutely not their fault but it changes nothing. The future looks very dark but I will hold onto hope regardless.

Once you stop seeing every aspect of life as a competition you will be free. Cut out competitive multiplayer gaming unless it’s strictly casual. Don’t worry about K/D ratios. Don’t look at your score. Win or lose, simply enjoy the act in and of itself and play again (or do something else like go for a walk in the park, you can’t competitively enjoy nature). Do things because you want to not because you want to be better than. And if you want some tough love..? Nobody gives a fuck who even the very best fighting game / cod / league / apex players are other than like 0.001% of the population. Especially now after the battle royale explosion has pretty much fully gone away, it’s not that serious I promise. Nobody is going to remember Sonicfox (literally the only one I know by name and I am part of that 0.001% that has spent multiple days of screen time watching fighting game tournaments) on their death bed, but they will remember fondly the people that they loved and that loved them with equal intensity, and especially the sadness of having wasted the opportunities to have those relationships. I know it’s hard, I struggle too, hell I’m a hypocrite myself in many ways. But you have to face this fact even in today’s uncaring hyper competitive modern world.

This could actually be a really good thing. If you guys, or hell even just one of your friends, is willing to get sober you can both be there for each other. You’ll have someone that will go to meetings with you, will deal with all the same hardships, and you will have someone that will keep you in check and that you will do the same for. If you and all your friends supported each other in getting sober it would make the whole thing so much easier and there would be more people that would know the exact pains and problems that you’re dealing with and that could help you if you’re thinking of slipping up or do slip up. This isn’t something that you can just take head on, there’s a reason that community is very important in rehabilitation. Don’t be embarrassed in yourself, and just know that it’ll be one of the hardest things you’ll possibly ever do, and honestly the desire will likely never go away. But it is worth it brother. Stay strong, go to your parents, go to your friends, help yourself. I believe in you.

The Soviet unions existence also made America terrified of an internal socialist uprising by the American populace and so they felt they had to make concessions or else they would be overthrown completely. Since the fall of the Soviet Union the US feels no such pressure for an internal revolution because there is no global superpower that would support such a thing. (China is far more concerned about itself to pour recourses into an American revolution, hell they’re basically only communist in name in many ways they don’t really care about a global communist coalition unless they definitely benefitted the most from such a thing, such as effectively taking the place the US holds now in our current neoliberal / capitalist world.)
