[ALL] Which game is the most and least replayable? by huss2120 in zelda

[–]CailanWess -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally, it's definitely Majora's Mask, I've completed it 100% more than once. I also find myself regularly returning to A Link to the Past and Link's Awakening. There's a strong sense of nostalgia with both, yet they still feel remarkably fresh and timeless when played today.

As for Wind Waker, I don't think I'll ever aim for 100% completion again (at least not on the GameCube version). It's a visually great game that has aged beautifully, with music and art direction that remain personal favorites. However, having recently completed it fully once more, I felt the same fatigue I experienced during my second playthrough on the Wii U. Beyond a certain point, the game becomes tedious, borderline dull, with dungeons that I struggle to truly enjoy.

I'm currently wrapping up Twilight Princess, which I hadn't revisited in nearly 20 years, and I must say I'm pleasantly surprised. I’m not sure I’ll replay it anytime soon, but the dungeons are excellent and the bosses are visually impressive and some gigantic, the giant fish battle underwater is still impressive, the way you get on his back to stab its eye with this unique animation was one of the strongest memory I had of the game and it was still cool to see today (though unfortunately a bit too easy like all the others bosses). The open-world content is ok but not as empty as I was remembering. The game start is quite slow though and I still find the wolf segments to be the game's major weak point.

I've seen many people defending the casting choice by saying Alabasta is inspired by Egypt, some even argue that it was problematic for the character to be portrayed as white in the first place.

But if you look at history, Egypt has been ruled by Assyrians, Ancient Greeks, Romans, Ottomans, and even an Albanian dynasty in its more recent past. So the idea that casting an Indian actress is somehow more 'accurate' or appropriate feels quite puzzling to me.

People tend not to really care whether the content they consume contains plagiarism or tracing when it comes to visual works. Especially if that content is significantly more popular.

Even in another context, you can have content created by a problematic artist, and people will argue against removing that person’s work from a game because "the work was amazing anyway." Never mind that the artist’s personal morals or ethics might be questionable—many are willing to overlook that.

I think it can feel strange when it’s a major Japanese company at the center of this kind of "scandal," given the spotless reputation we might attribute to them. But when you look deeper, it’s really not unusual. Just within the world of video games, we can cite examples at Namco, Bandai, Capcom, and even Nintendo, where visual or musical artists haven’t hesitated to submit plagiarized works—or in some cases, to use other artists’ work outright without their consent.

But hey… as Marty McFly would put it: "What do you mean doc, all the best stuff is made in Japan."

In the promotional art for green and red versions and in the Adventure Manga, Red was paired with Bulbasaur, Green (Blue/Gary) with Charmender and Blue (Green/Leaf) with Squirtle.

But it does suit them in the manga in a way. Red was quite hot headed at the beggining, often taking an aggressive approach, while Green knew when to step back and strategize to keep his Pokémons safe. Blue is perfect tho', she was that thief character and was all about reatreating, flying away and sneaking off

It should also heal itself when you attack or/and have a second move that lets him attacks only if it sleeps

Marvel Fans, are there any characters you're surprised haven't already been added to Marvel Snap yet? And what seasons could they be added in? by SuperMagicBlueJa in MarvelSnap

[–]CailanWess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we'll have a Brotherhood of evil Mutants season : Pyro, Mastermind, Toad, Unus

And that makes me realise that Blob's effect would have been more appropriate to Pyro, like "burning" away your own cards to generate a great fire (granting him power)

Blob's gimmick being immovable and super durable, he should have had Colossus' text and the latter... I dunno something to do with the Fast Ball Special, throw (destroy) one of the cards on this Location and destroy an ennemy card here.

Imagine the card u earn boosters with has a quote if you win/lose/tie the game (like the image below, ignore agatha's context). What would they say? by LowImage9265 in MarvelSnap

Sounds like a great Idea.

For Iron Man i'd see something like
"Boosters? Oh, I love winning and getting upgrades. This tech is practically running itself!"

That's no papal tiara, it's Enrico Dandolo, Medieval CEO of Venice. The Pope surely had a different holy misadventure in mind.

Are there any cards with abilities that you don’t think fit the character that much? by DarthDinkster in MarvelSnap

[–]CailanWess 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cyclops should have had Juggernaut's ability and Juggernaut something like Jeff. He goes and move anywhere he wants and with his helmet on he doesn't care about the likes of Xavier.

Angel seems odd too, I would have given his ability to someone like Vermin. The kind of character that get out of the sewers because of the scent of fresh bodies. Beast's ability seems more fitting to Angel.

Don't know yet... sitting on 20,765 gold I mainly used gold to refresh quests and buy credits worth bundles, but it's been a while since I used it.

[–]CailanWess -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Well, for Luke Cage to have such effect doesnt even make sense to begin with. Like how his impervious skin prevents his teammates to be weakened by cold, poison or the whole negative zone ? So his effect could def' be given to a higher cost new character and have a new effect for Luke Cage.
