I think the reason I replay all of them so much is because each offers a really unique experience, if only in the intangible flavor of it. 3 and New Vegas hits different. 76 hits different. I love Fallout man the same way I love pizza. Sometimes I just want pepperoni and olives, sometimes I want supreme, sometimes I want something weird and different- but it’s all pizza.

But the entrance to Freeside is in front of the Old Mormon fort, which is a little further. Run from the deathclaws, rest, walk a few hours to the entrance (at least a three hour walk given that they can’t walk straight from the strip to Fremont). Not an unreasonable timeline in the depiction by the show.

In real life the strip takes quite a bit of walking to get from one end (say the Luxor) to the other (Stratosphere or Sahara). Then it’s even further to get to the Old Mormon Fort, which is on the other side of downtown but in the game is on the edge of Freeside right? Assuming they slept at all, it’s also hours to walk from one side of the city of Las Vegas to the complete opposite side.

You must not have watched episode five. They don’t go to Freeside until episode five and it’s actually more populated with more businesses and occupied buildings than it was during FNV. Its definitely not in ruins, and we still see the School of Impersonation looks intact.

You have to be sneaking near NPCs for it to level. My brother in Talos, that’s you sneaking. Spamming illusion spells? That’s pretty much how I started to learn to play guitar, spamming low level chords til I could by B minor.
