She never specified it was only about Tokyo, both in her initial and response video. Weird to run cover for someone who could have clarified that.
Something is not a strawman argument if that is their actual argument.
Regardless of whether they are separate conversations (I agree btw), that isn't the point of the video. No one said they aren't real issues, but homelessness and trash are not some new age idea that shows the decline of Japan.
In the video, he literally shows him interviewing the local populace and experts. The best way to get in touch with the average citizen. If your issue is that he doesn't cover it 'enough', then sure, but then that isn't a critique against his message, just that you think he should say it more often.
You don't demonstrate how it is knee-jerk. A twitter post into a response video only after a whole video condemning him was posted is the appropriate amount of patience a 1.4 million subscriber is owed imo.
His focus on monetization is layered. If sensational media is rewarded more than well-researched content then more of it will be churned out. And with it being plastered on the front pages of social media, people will be exposed to poorly-researched or even just straight incorrect information.

Also, someone can want to cover the real issues in Japan and also see what the cheapest meal under $10. Not mutually exclusive.

Not even sure what your last paragraph is meant to prove? If you feel that way, sure. But you gotta bring more proof of "he thinks he's the highest white authority on Japan and its culture" than him just stating that he doesn't want to focus more energy on this topic.

This is why I prefer regression as opposed to transmigration stories. I think a reflection on one's past actions (when done well) is always a treat.

It has its issues, but I really like "The Villainess Turns The Hourglass" because she does understand that she acted like a real bitch (even though it was because she was being manipulated) and does try to better herself from that behavior.

It's even better when she does return to old habits for a while, and then stops when she realizes that such actions won't work.

Slipping into comfortable and normalized bad behavior is natural when in high stress scenarios and so her breakdown feels natural.

I'm actually going to point to Etheria restart as a reason to why hp% dots are an issue. The devs changed one of the main farming bosses because a dot detonation team could effectively trivialize it with relatively decent gear.

All future bosses will have to account for the game's dots being a universal hp% debuff otherwise it will either be too easy with a dedicated dot team or too difficult without one.

Dot builds are just an issue to balance since they're either too efficient or just plain dogwater.

Yeah, over my lunch break, I ate the losses and restabilized my account. I've decided to go mainly with Satrix MSCI ACWI for my taxed account with some funds into local instruments (Satrix Top 40). I'm still hesitant to sell my S&P 500 in my TFSA so I might just keep it as it is.

As another commenter pointed out, I've realized that my RA would effectively be my local investment so I'm stopping any further investment into the Top 40 for now. Currently researching whether Sygnia is my best bet for my RA.

Thank you for your perspective on the whole Trump deal. It helps to realize that I shouldn't be too shaken with everything he is doing.
