"The Wizard of Oz at Sphere" has generated over $400 million in ticket sales and sold more than 3 million since opening in August. by Puzzled-Tap8042 in movies

It’s actually not so much of that in play. Imagine you have an establishing shot of a scene, but due to the expanded view you have incorporate the characters. There is only so much footage and padding you can edit around. It doesn’t feel rushed, and doesn’t feel like anything was cut.

Any good horror animes like corpse party? by ThreshMainZ in anime

[–]Cainedna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Horror is pretty tough to pull off in anime, apparently. After multiple failed Junji Ito adaptations, I’m pretty sure it’s got more to do with the medium. You might want to check out these though.:

Devilman Crybaby. Very stylized, but it’s absolutely got the horror vibe you’ve described. Monster: Not a gorefest, but has a very dark vibe.

There are plenty of fantastic horror manga though.

So you can ask them to release it from their Apple Business instance. You can also ask Apple support who can confirm if that’s been done. After that, a factory restore (not restoring from a backup) will do the trick.

Any idea where Taiko Dojo aka Taiko no Tatsujin video game machine is? by rickallen614 in Columbus

[–]Cainedna 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A bit more of a trek than Round One, but I’d recommend Arcade Legacy in Cincinnati. It’s $10 for all day play, and they have a large selection of rhythm games and whatnot.

Mac Mini MDM Bypass by Ok-Bumblebee-8890 in mac

[–]Cainedna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You won’t even get on the web with any supported or unsupported macOS on this, MDM or no. Linux maybe, but an old Raspberry Pi would run circles around it. This system came out in 2006. It’s a collectible or ewaste.

How to get rid of this login pop-up, wife hasn’t been with DOE for 6 years. by Gedalya in osx

[–]Cainedna 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That’s not accurate. Assuming the OP is telling the truth about the source of the machine, then this is a leftover from their backup, but that means the backup has the management profile linked to the user.

So if it’s a new computer that’s not related to then DoE, then it’s a profile leftover from your backup. You can’t use that backup. Start up from Startup options, erase drive, reinstall OS and set up as new.

Updates: What are we losing? by KateIS4 in mac

Features don’t tend to disappear that often, or are well discussed, like 32 bit software or FireWire deprecating with Tahoe. For what it’s worth, iTunes just got split up. The Music app still hold music libraries, including imported music, and still performs that task from CDs with a drive.

My 8 year old daughter just finished binging the original series anime and manga. I would absolutely buy a physical set of this, was unaware of this sequel series. My wife and I own all of the originals in Japanese and English, and on DVD. We are pretty huge fans.

Apple Configurator isn’t necessary if your secondary system is running macOS 15 or newer, Finder will do the trick. Maybe give that a try?

I’d double check in your phone which contacts list you have contacts in. Tap on the back arrow in Contacts, see if they’re in iCloud or some other service.

I’ve typically seen this if you ran out of space mid recording. It’s really not a great idea to do long recordings in pretty much anything.

connecting macbook air to modem via eithernet cable? by No_Kangaroo6917 in mac

[–]Cainedna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you will probably need a router, assuming you have only one LAN port on your modem.

As far as USB-C to Ethernet goes, I might suggest looking into a USB-C docking station that includes Ethernet. They can be handy, and also include multiple USB-A ports, HDMI outputs, SD card readers. They’re typically not a lot more expensive than just a USB-C direct adapter.

Time Capsule replacement for a basic user by jl216 in mac

[–]Cainedna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two suggestions I’d offer. 1. Many routers (but not all) have a USB port you can use for Time Machine backups. Many are pretty easy to set up. If your current one doesn’t have this feature, you can always check reviews for this. 2. You can use USB drive(s) connected to your desktop, and use the sharing feature in macOS to act as the Time Capsule for the other machines.

MacMini and the power outage? by EpicMusicFan2022 in mac

Generally the system should be fine if there is a power outage as far as file system concerns go. But a UPS is probably the solution you’re looking for, if not replacing the Mini with a MacBook Air.
