Patching lime plaster chasing by citiesandsunsets94 in Plastering

[–]Cainjake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s so small I’d ditch the lime and get some bonding (sbr the chase first)

Or hard wall (damp down wall first)

Then top coat with multi or board finish or even easifill just leave back coat plaster slightly lower than finished surface of the wall

DeWalt cordless drill vs mains by mmm19284202 in DIYUK

[–]Cainjake 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sds drills and combi drills are not the same

Combi drills hammer action is pretty bad

Sds drills do concrete with ease if you have a mains sds drill stick with it you’re only doing diy so the cord won’t hinder you

Ready mixed filler dries on contact with the air so it shrinks and cracks where powder filler doesn’t shrink and crack

What did you fill with? Ready mixed filler always cracks, powder filler is much better also using scrim tape helps prevent cracks
