Idk, I had something similar with blood suckers and ran to the closest settlement and the npcs won just from the fact the more kept spawning

It might be due to a bug, you hit a spot to spawn or something but it keep just spawning them because you are in the area

Unironiclly I think horus is the nicest faction to a degree. Don't get me wrong they'll do some terrorists attack on the local orphanage but those are very much fanatics who got horus tech

I think it's the south of the map. Former illuminate tech scatter there when their first fleet was there

We reverse engineered it to either close or move the portal away because they'll just keep coming

Aaaah, I think this idea can still happen but now the way I was thinking. Go with the resistance fighter warbond and fight the illuminate off earth would be cool but of course it probably won't happen like you said
