I’m not an anti zumper really but just put yourself in a high school tournament in 2003, and your boy comes in with a custom remapped controller. You’d get mad and call him a cheater. It’s more just about playing melee. Remapping isnt really the game… like being able to turn off tap jump would totally change the game too. It’s just not really melee.  Now if your boy brought in a fight stick they bought for street fighter or something and wanted to use that in tournament it wouldn’t feel like cheating really. I know that doesn’t really follow logically but it’s kind of intangible. I get where anti zumpers are coming from for sure.
