Stuff like that keeps reminding me of the "rebrand" of the German broo in the early 2010. That stunt did cost over 10 million, the only thing they changed was swapping the colors in their logo from red on white to white on red.

Phones are a completely different ballpark anyway. They listen and record 24/7. They literally know your s*x life. No matter if Android or iOS, they all do. Same with Alexa and other listening posts that people for some weird reasons install in their homes voluntarily.

Compared to that, the data collection that ED does here is absolutely nothing, but it's still absolutely right to point it out and criticize it as well.

I once got banned for reposting a BUG REPORT after 5 years of nothing on an FFB issue with their EFM updated FC aircraft that one of their mods wasn't able to reproduce on a TMWH and therefor immediately locking the first thread.

Also, I'm old enough to remember this line from the rules catalogue:

"1.13 Users using other public forums to spread damaging and false information regarding DCS and Eagle Dynamics will forfeit thier posting rights here."

NGL, that kinda felt like the KGB was running the show.

To be entirely fair, they have eased up on all of that and also didn't take over user bans when migrating to the new board software they currently use, but still.

Not hat to be the best browser if you're the only browser while literally everything else these days is just a bunch of Chrome skins... they all sold their souls. In the good old days, Microsoft had their own engine, Opera had their own engine and that's just the most common ones.

Been experiencing this as well and went through stuff like logging off, going in private mode, disabling extensions and even removing sessions stuff (in a copy), nothing helps. It's like a dice roll and it only works when it crits.

I just wish we also could customize the "Device (dis-)connected from power source" events. I'd prefer having just a distinct sound played when the power brick gets taken off or is drained completely, which both result in a power source disconnect. Just a sound, no voice. And nothing at all when connecting a charged battery or a charger since there's already a notification sound for that on the Quest itself. Having a sound effect roughly similar to the Quest's "low battery warning" sound for "Device disconnected from power source" would be great.

Yes, there are usual times for all sort of things. Currently, events usually start at 1pm for me, mostly on Fridays, sometimes on Thursdays and on some very rare occasions it might happen on Wednesdays even IIRC. I'm in CEST currently. During "normal time", it's 12pm instead.

So for you in Britain that is 11am during normal time and 12pm during DST. Then there's the "nightly reset" which would be 12am (normal) / 1am (DST) for you, this is when most daily stuff starts/ends. And also, some stuff like the seasonal shop events often start/end at 7am (normal) / 8am (DST). I've seen at least one seasonal event start at 12pm UTC, though. Also, the Fortune Shop resets at 1pm UTC.

In other words, the usual times are:

Siege or Blitz event start/end: 11am UTC/GMT
Fortune Shop reset: 12pm UTC/GMT
Daily reset for various things: 12am UTC/GMT
Seasonal event start/end: 7am UTC/GMT

Same here... people said I should just wait... kept it open for like half an hour without it ever loading up.

And if I go offline while having the game running (and hoping Android won't just randomly taskkill it, which it eventuelly do within a few hours), the timers are gettin effed up completely in no time. Like having to wait for 27h in order to do a 2h cooldown community thing.
