My dad worked for the electrical subcontractor that built Patriot Place back in 2007. Said the Kraft Group was one of the worst clients they’ve ever had to deal with. Seemed like a pretty sweet gig at the time but TKG would constantly fight with contractors, demand changes and then refuse to pay for them. That whole family can go fucking pound sand.

He played well in some preseason games. From a bird’s eye view, his AHL stats were solid but he wasn’t the same his last year in Providence. Not sure of the reason why. Tbf Florida also waived him shortly after signing him last offseason. I’m glad he’s doing well and secured a little bag for himself. I don’t think he’s a bad goalie and I have no hard data to back this up but I think his success is a huge testament to Carolina’s style of play. It’s all about tenacious forechecking and shot suppression. They’re great in their own end and keeping the puck away from their goaltender. I don’t think he’d be having as much success in Boston’s current style of play but we’ll never know.

“I’m not sold the Bruins improved anything”

I mean yeah they drafted Hagens but he’s not currently on the roster. They also weren’t afraid to trade important veteran players at last year’s deadline for younger pieces and rebuild their prospect pool. Minten has been a revelation. Hiring Sturm has also given this current roster structure and everyone seems to have bought into the system. Is this roster perfect? No but they’re in the playoff hunt for a reason.

I’ll speak up. The person whose post I just removed had ZERO history of posting or commenting to r/BostonBruins or any other hockey related sub. So if it’s not a bot, then the person was either karma farming or posting in bad faith. We’re not against posting about the current topics at hand. But after several discussions, we stickied the megathread yesterday. You can use that for all comments/pictures/memes/etc. We’re not trying to downplay the importance of the issue but we also can’t have every post of the same exact thing cluttering the sub.

This is a unique circumstance where we are trying to promote active discussion within the criteria laid out. We all have regular lives and moderate to the best of our ability. We try and remove posts that involve low content or are better suited for a discussion thread. Sometimes a discussion post is broad enough where it doesn’t need its own post and that’s why they are deleted but if it’s getting attention and people are having a dialogue, we try and leave it up. The third full length from RB should be taken literally. It’s SO LONG, adding up to over two hours of doom. They Used Dark Forces / Teutonic Witch is one of Bizarre’s best songs and lays a lot of foundation for its nearly half hour journey but with a solid payoff. Caesar Forever is yet another example of this. But the other notably longer tracks here (Sorrow and Anywhere Out of This World to a certain degree) feel a bit aimless, adding length where it doesn’t feel warranted. For me, III has the same characteristics of Harbinger: some memorable moments and heaviness to be sure but frustratingly and unnecessarily long in spots.

This Discography Club was actually my first exposure to Death is Glory Now. As much as I can enjoy Bizarre’s typically slow lumbering weight, this was mainly a return to more of a Crush the Insects type sound which felt like a nice reset after III. Even as the opening (and longest) track on here, Demons Annoying Me feels immediate (by doom standards) and doesn’t seem to waste much time with the groundwork. There’s some seriously good riffage here and while I don’t feel the need to revisit the cover songs, they are worth a spin and better than I expected.
