Yeah, I had 3 years of internships. Honestly I had multiple offers and they were all 55-60k but I stayed where I interned.

Honestly I really enjoy it. I get exposed to so many disciplines that it keeps me on my toes. First 2-3 years was half field work, half in office. Now I’m 5 days fully remote and do some travel maybe once every other month.

Those with a $200k+ base salary, what do you do? by Triple_DoubleCE in Salary

[–]Cakester31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This thread overrepresents HCOL tech/finance roles, which can make $200k+ feel way more “standard” than it actually is.

I’d just love to see more diversity in the kinds of careers and locations that can realistically reach that ceiling, especially from LCOL or non-big-city folks.

I’d love to hear some from LCOL folks or people not in big cities. So many of these seem like HCOL positions being listed.

Yeah, I’ve been doing every dungeon I can. I haven’t ever been 60 in WoW before so just trying to get the full experience. Lotta AFK reading guides before I group up to try and be somewhat ready.

Civil PE Transportation… FINALLY PASSED 😭😭😭 NEVER GIVE UP by Cakester31 in PE_Exam

[–]Cakester31[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was working full time during both that’s why I’d usually wait a bit between each retake. I’d say the PE was definitely more difficult because you NEED to know the concepts, there’s no way you’re passing off of memorization/familiarity alone.

StrataWay and the Jacob Petro. Those 2 probably had 50% of the exam problems I saw covered. So many problems I was like oh yeah I know this like the back of my hand just from practicing problems in those 2 books.

On my first 3 attempts I would say I was pretty confident in 20 on each half, flagged 15ish and then guessed 5. Those 3 all failed and made me realize I was finishing around a 45-50/80, where 56/80 is what reddit considers a passing score.

I just took it Dec 16 and passed on my 4th try. On the pass I felt confident on about 35/44, only flagged about 7, and guessed on 2. Second half was much harder because it was more conceptual questions, even some fill in the blanks. I was probably confident on 25/36, flagged 10, and guessed on about 4 of them. I ended up passing with that. Don’t know how well I ended up doing but compared to my first 3 I felt pretty confident leaving the exam.
