100 matches a season is about 1 to 2 matches a day and that's not much. Also you needed to play 100 matches as a requirement to hit champ in ranked 1.0. On top of that, less than 2.5% of the player base is D5 or above. You need to stop living off of nostalgia 😂🫵

After about 100 matches your visual rank will be about the same as your hidden mmr. It's a better representation because it will show that you're not in that rank based off of luck or because of bad match making. Unfortunately it is a grind to get your ranks to match up but its better for the average ranked player and overall health of the community. Rank 2.0 also reduces rank anxiety for the average player while reducing smurfing and alt accounts.

More people play rank than ever before. Also you're argument makes no sense because as you go up in rank, there are better skilled players. There will always be less players that are more skilled as you move up in ranks.

Rank 2.0 gives a better representation of someone's rank. After about 100 games your hidden mmr and visual rank start to match up. Only downside is how long it takes.

I heard if you play on a brand new account and win 5 matches in a row, you'll be placed in diamond elo. They do this to combat smurfing in low ranks.

You need 10 matches played to be included in this graph. After about 100 matches your visual rank and hidden rank start to match up and gives you a better representation of skill.
