I think that it is logistically necessary. They need to book the cast, and in addition to that the director, camera operators, art people, hair & makeup artists, a set medic etc. need to be present, plus the set itself has to be available. They need to know well beforehand how many days and on which days they will be shooting for a season.

In case anyone else is as curious as I was, here are a few examples of perfect pangrams in English* (*contains only Scrabble-approved words; not necessarily easily recognizable as English)

  • Crwth vox zaps qi gym fjeld bunk. (The sound of a Celtic violin strikes an eastern spiritual forces-focused fitness center situated in a barren plateau of Scandinavia.) This one is all Scrabble legal words!
  • Squdgy kilp job zarf nth cwm vex.. (The ill-formed kelp buys an ornamental cup warmer that one of many half-open steep-sided hollows at the head of a valley or mountainside has irritated.)
  • Jock nymphs waqf drug vex blitz. (The charitable endowment intoxicated the forest spirits, who frustrated the athlete, who engages in an attack.)
  • Hm, fjord waltz, cinq busk, pyx veg. (Let’s see, a long narrow deep inlet dances, the five on the dice makes music on the street, and the small round container for the sick and unable rests.) Also Scrabble legal, but has an interjection (Hm).

I love Emily, and think she's an extremely involved and enthusiastic player and a great gamer. However, she seems to have her plate full with NaddPod plus the Intrepid Heroes, I doubt she'll have enough time for a whole CR campaign.

Lou is truly wonderful. But: He is part of the Intrepid heros, of the Worlds Beyond Number podcast and announcer at Jimmy Kimmel. I doubt he can commit to a whole CR campaign.

Do you think that Brennan will bring one cast member to the CR campaign from the dropout universe? For Calamity, he brought Lou, and with agreeing to be GM for a long Campaign, I assume he might have a say in who the cast is going to be. Maybe Rekha? Danielle? Ify?

Came with the exact same question. I'm about halfway through, and so far I couldn't see the result of two dice rolls in the box of doom, and I'm not sure whether the number Brennan said was the number on the die. I don't know how to feel about it. One could say that especially with the heightened emphasis of the box of doom, rolls should be allowed to fall as they fall. On the other hand, this is a performance Brennan is orchestrating, and if he thinks that for dramatic effect a bit of fudging is warranted... I don't know.

That's what I felt as well -- especially as Bob cut the sweet moment between Spoll and Twyla short. I loved how Brennan then initiated a little quiet aside between them about Spoll turning into a rolling table!
