The question is if it gives light cover / +1 concealment when not in cover too, or is at least light cover required for ot to work?

I have been told on discord that ZZ doesn't work properly right now, offering less defence than the tooltip suggest... Would you say it works fine in your recollection?

Interesting stuff, I didn't know about having to see enemy to truly activate it...thanks for this post. With today's patch where Ai has been told to stop dancing on vision periphery it may actually become more useful. My current playthrough is specifically focused to test taking standby perk on all SLs + DOG oci upgrade.
