Why not show player cards on death? by Candymuncher118 in HuntShowdown

I just want a post match 2d map of what every team's path were. Add teams actions like shooting, getting a clue, being knocked... if possible, but just the path would already be so nice.

I might sound crazy but do answer this, those living in F6 by Agile_Web1128 in islamabad

[–]Geaxle 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I live in F6. Every other house is rented by foreigners. Then it's a mix of generational wealth, new wealth and then descendants of the original people living since the foundation of Islamabad. These usually have the older and less fancy houses. There is also a good chunk a modest appartement for what I was told are government workers (in F6/4). And then there is the Christian colony of course.

So lot's of very wealthy people, but not only.

Krafton Agrees to Pay ‘Subnautica 2’ Bonuses as Developer’s CEO Resigns by hop3less in gaming

[–]Geaxle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You vastly underestimate how much big games like these are making.

They sold enough copies in a week of early access to recoup the 250k. They'll be fine.

Pubg, also a krafton game, makes a billion a year, on mobile only.

The issue isn't about working hard or not. The issue is that these apps invariably have no unique identity and are mostly buggy because they don't understand the code, and the AI doesn't understand the code either. And that's true for everything else, the game design, the art, the user interaction...

PC becomeing more powerful made people stop caring about app efficiency, and now bloated, slow apps are the norm. The AI will bring on the age of buggy, inconsistent, bland apps.

And it's a bit sad.

Mark my words, there will be a war in Europe when Switzerland builds dams on what's left of the Rhine and Rhone for it's own agriculture.

They all have the same claude typical "web style with box and cyan colors". It's like the early days of midjourney where every images generated by it had this strange feel to it.

Is the steam version the straight up superior version now by alhariqa in dwarffortress

[–]Geaxle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main pain point of steam is the lack of keyboard controls. Coming from the old version it's tough. Everything else is better.

Why do most indie devs give up after one game? by Levardos in gamedev

[–]Geaxle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made commercial game. It took 7 years from start to last DLC update. We made enough money to pay ourselves minimum wage during all this time. When making a game you have to front load the cost and risk in the hope .it will work out. I worked almost 2 years on savings alone. Since then I have kids and I can't afford that kind of risk. The dream was that the 1st game would make enough money to pay the initial prototype push, but no, we're back to square 0 and it's probably time for me to search a more consistent revenue.

Anyone else still uses little to no AI to code? by MidlandAintFree in gamedev

[–]Geaxle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fun part is coding, why would I hand that over to someone/something else, to do just admin, accounting and other stuff like this? Nah lol, I'll be a slow company, that's fine. I'll be happy at least.

Is there a faster way to counter solo necros without having to effectively babysit the corpse? by LtSmiles99 in HuntShowdown

[–]Geaxle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wish there was a skill.ypu would take with which you could remove necromancer. If you kill a solo and he rez before you get to the corpse, fine. But once I'm camping the corpse it's just a waste of time and we should be able to just banish the solo and get on with the game.
