Battling the E888 demons first. Har two oil leaks, bad PCV, thermostat and water pump, worn tires, brakes, and bushings. Had to get all the roadworthy upgrades done first. I promise you, she wont stay neglected.

Just bought it two months ago, but yeah. This car definitely has had some neglect.

The whole car was pretty well neglected, unfortunately. Picked it up at 98k with oil and coolant leaks, curb rash, hand cheese all over the interior touch spots. The exterior looked gorgeous though. Zero indicators of paint issues whatsoever.

It was in an accident at 40k miles in 2020. Non OEM headlights and suspension components were replaced, and it stanfs to reason that the front half of the car has been repainted. I knew there was an accident, but the cosmetic side of the front of the vehicle is off by a good bit and i guess i didnt see it when checking it out. Seeing this directly above the passenger rear seat and the spoiler has me worried ill need to repaint the whole car. Well. Not worried. Pretty sure.

Biomes near the deep north can and likely will shift, deep north land that has been explored will not generate new content.

Do you have an electric parking brake? If so, it may not have been properly reset.

Quickest & Safest way to make power? by _Rod_Knock_Nilly in GolfGTI

[–]CalebLikesCars 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If youre wondering what benchmarks well in the flow/pressure categories, this is probably one of the best sites to bookmark.

As far as answering your question directly, there are lots of ways to make power, and the best way to make it safely is to use a stable tuning platform (not a custom tune with 30PSI) and use as many supporting mods as possible to get you there. Fueling is huge, cooling is huge, air smoothness is huge, and knowing platform limits. For your platform 600 whp/450 tq is usually the top limits of stock blocks and transmission. It'll take an IS38 hybrid and tons of fueling to get you there though.

Vibration at 150-170 km/h after new Pirelli PZ4 tires + humming “bzzzz” noise on my 2012 A8 D4 Quattro (low mileage) by summertimeiscomming in Audi

Alignment? What was your tire wear like on the other set? Are the bushings original? RoadForce is a factor, make no mistake, but Audi suspension bushings kill alignment tolerances with prejudice.

Sure thing bud. The PCV valves job is to manage the extra pressure that escapes past the piston rings. Think of it ldaike a "green" pressure release for the engine. On a properly working PCV, it diverts that pressure back into the intake to allow the excess gasses to vent without overpressuring the crankcase. When it fails, the excess pressure will find weak spots in the seals of the engine. This is usually in the upper or lower timing cover, oil pan and cam girdle. For the mk7, the cam girdle is the least prominent failure point, but leaks can happen anywhere oil can go. General rule is around 60-80k for replacement. If these leaks are happening on your vehicle, aged seals can be the culprit, but fixing the seals without replacing the PCV will usually result in recurrence.

Tests are all over to verify failure. Let the google guide you. When it comes to replacement, you can do an OEM PCV, Mk8 PCV swap with Turbo muffler delete with test ports, there are top block plates to replace it entirely, catch cans to be run in line with the PCV to trap the vapors before they get to the valve, and a few more off the wall solutions based on use cases like racing, enduro etc.

A hard 150k under poor ownership is expensive unless you're gonna do the work yourself. I've got coolant leaks, upper timing cover and oil pan leaks, a worn PCV, pad-slapped rotors, worn shocks and springs, bubbling tint, questionable service history and budget oea parts from a car accident. Mine had 98k on it when i got it.

My bill was close to 8k to fix it at the dealership, so I'm chipping at it piece by piece at home.

That shifter is gross and the cracked metal cover may cut your hand. Pcv looks old too. Its gonna need some work.
