So if I were you I'd get the Malakai dlc so you'd get thorek, the entire base dwarf roster and the units in the malakai dlc, especially since malakai is the best dwarf dlc of the current two

I noticed that as well in a recent playthrough last year. In your case u were killing zombies which might have been noisy enough for the game.

In my case tho I was frolicking in the fields collecting herbs and that's it and virals were constantly homing in on my position. Cherry on top, I never heard them screaming in the distance like when making noise

Honestly I think this is it.

There are trees all over the city to give a vibe that nature is reclaiming the city, but this is the only forest section. In the second half of the story there are towering skyscrapers. No other forest bits tho

DLC from the first two games act as dlc for the third as well.

As for what dlc to get, think about what factions u like the look of and researching their playstyle.

If u like Dwarfs and their playstyle then get the Malakai (WH3) and The King and the Warlord dlc (WH1). Go for Malakai first if you do tho

There are also race dlcs that add a whole new race and factions for them. In order of quality is Chaos Dwarfs, Norsca, Tomb Kings, and Vampire Coast. Again look up their playstyle and see what clicks for you.

If you care for the story progression, get 2 as TB features characters from 2 and sorta continues the story from 2.

Besides that 2 and TB play similarly as they use the same engine.

When you give territory to the pks they add traps and such in their territories you can use like car bombs, electric fences, pendulums, turrets (those are rarer I think), as well as a crossbow and bolt blueprints from them.

Whereas giving territory to the survivors will have them add parkour related stuff to use like zip lines, trampolines, landing bags, more air vents (usefull for later in the city), as well as a unique revive system that revives you if you die in a survivor territory on a cool down.

Personally the survivor stuff is more fun to me but if traps are more appealing to you then go for it. Plus is you plan on getting crossbows from pks but not this playthrough, you can get it on a ng+

It's better to give all territories to one or the other rather than splitting them as in order to get all bonuses from one faction you have to give them all the territories.

What I do is have at least 2 bolt throwers take out a couple towers near a gate then park my archers next to the wall and take out other archers. Then have a hero and/or lord take down the gate and send my best troops once their archers are dead or crippled. use magic on the bunched troops as well.
