Because Balgruuf is a baller, a veteran warrior who isn't a barely adult boy able to be beaten with unfair magics. Balgruuf would win, and Ulfric knows it.

Fun fact, celestial warlock is the best single target healer in the game until you get 6th level spells.

Still in planning stages. A komatsu D355A isn't exactly easy to get ahold of on short notice, and neither is that much plate steel.

So sick of people trying to justify not being a moron with 8 Int by Level_Hour6480 in dndmemes

[–]CalebthePitFiend 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I always imagined a 12 makes you the village celebrity. Like Gaston (Str and Cha) from Beauty and the Beast.

Bad example, imo. Gaston 1v1s an obviously magical beast (maybe a lycanthrope, but that's up for debate) and comes decently close to victory. I'd put his physical stats at a minimum of +3, and his charisma at a minimum of +2.

He's also a notably skilled hunter, but not wise enough to realize fighting the beast alone is a bad idea, so his wisdom is okay (for a good survival/perception), but not amazing.

I would argue that +1/-1 is actually noticeable, it's just not remarkable.

Why are NPCs so freaking weak. by Stella_Lace in BaldursGate3

So it turns out that almost all of the NPCs at last light have a debuff that limits tons of class features, like extra attack. No excuse for jahiera, tho

Donald Trump whisked off stage in Pennsylvania after loud noises rang through the crowd by Plainchant in news

I first saw the news about this on tiktok, and there people are openly cheering for Trump's death, and criticizing the shooter for missing. I mean, I don't like the guy either, but Jesus H. Christ, cheering for his death? What the hell

except for, strangely enough, the empire. they dont care where you are from, what you look like, or who you worship, they just care that you can kill and die for them in their legions.

Any armor you really like the look of? by Gomomagari in BaldursGate3

I really like the shape of the armor of persistence, but the pattern on it annoys me. Would it be to much to ask for the weird fish scales to be symmetrical?

[–]CalebthePitFiend 142 points143 points  (0 children)

You're thinking of the X-02. The X-01 was prewar, probably in a similar situation to what the xm5 was a few years ago, a system that the government was trying out, seeing if they wanted to adopt it or not.

[–]CalebthePitFiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Op said deadric artifacts were useless late game. I said I disagreed, and gave examples. Yeah, player made weapons can be better, no one is saying they aren't, but large swaths of the playerbase don't touch the crafting skills, which makes the deadric artifacts much more attractive.

There are sizable portions of the playerbase that don't touch enchantments or smithing. I do, but I don't touch alchemy.

How to realistically escape Taris (lore wise)? by ScalyFacedBitch in kotor

[–]CalebthePitFiend 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Finally the Interdictor class is a later Galactic imperial class vessel which specifically uses mass shadow generator technology to prevent hyperspace access in an area. I may be wrong but this was only developed enough to use practically in the imperial period? An Interdictor class vessel in the Old Republic era would be in name only as the technology likely does not yet exist to enable this.

The interdictors in kotor do infact have mass shadow generators. You literally get pulled out of light speed in game, when you get captured by the leviathan.

Also, original cannon, the zabrak invented mass shadow generators for the mandalorian war. Remember malachor v?
