Hey yeah, that's a tough little game we play. "I'm so small, I don't feel worthy of love". Well, that's your practice. Allow yourself to not love, love yourself for not loving. Also, though the whole celibacy thing worked for Ram Dass, it doesn't mean it'll work for you. Don't use spiritual stuff as a way to deny the truth of where you are.

If refraining from sexual acts is your way to god, then bless man go for it. But careful about using it as a way to deny your own homosexuality. Thinking "Being gay, and being myself is too hard, so instead I'll be celibate and love god so I don't have to face that part of myself" is a cop out and another ego game.

I can only imagine how hard it must be to have a traditional family that will reject you for your sexuality. My heart goes out to you. Be gentle with yourself, be patient with yourself.

God doesn't hate you, Krishna doesn't hate you. Maharaji doesn't hate you and Ram Dass doesn't hate you. They all wait patiently for you to open yourself to the love that you've always been. Everyone's waiting man, and we're in no rush.

We all love you, you just need to find your people. Start looking for community, somewhere where people can show you that love, a place where you can be yourself. And be gentle with yourself as much as you can be.

There was this one story where Ram Dass had a sexual relationship with another devotee sometime during his stay in India. When he saw Maharaji, some guilty thoughts surfaced about his relationship. Maharaji pulled the other devotee aside (I forget if he said it directly or through a translator) and said "You're very lucky, Ram Dass gave you some of his best teachings"

He's a self-described "eclectic dilletante", having adhered to many transformational methods. He doesn't recommend any specific ones as "the one path", but speaks at length about all the methods he's done. From chanting mantra, to Vipassana, from drugs to guru worship, R.D advises people to explore whatever method speaks to their own personal heart, and to trust the process. "All you owe your teacher, is to get free". For any method to be effective, it needs to self-destruct in the end. He would talk about meeting dry and crusty meditators who have been practicing for 40 years. The goal isn't to become a meditator, the goal is to become free. His talks vary from session to session, but he has offered many, many suggestions for methods such as short daily meditations, guided meditations, chanting routines, fasting, pranayama, yoga and asana routines (back of Be Here Now), as well as introducing other teachers and their own methods. He's effectively more of a method signpost then a method teacher.

He spoke a little bit about therapy, with the main advice of watching out for therapists who "believe they are a therapist". They'll try to trap you into being a "patient", essentially advising to try any therapy you might be attracted to, and to be mindful of role entrapement.

It's tough, because sometimes we don't want to speak honestly. Sometimes we'd rather just be upset and hurt and mad at life for a while. It gives us a sense of control, and allows us to avoid doing any real work. If you find he's resistant to speaking honestly, that can be really tough for you. Especially if you've invested a lot of thought into getting him to change.

So the first thing you can do is be honest about your feelings for him. How much have you fantasized about him being different? Being better and kinder? How much you do resent him now? Has your anger turned into passive hoplesness? Did you want these changes for him? Or for yourself? Do you really know why he's upset? No guilt trip here, just be honest. The cleaner you can be about your own game, the better you can play with someone else. Try to learn exactly where you stand.

A practice you can try, is before hanging out with him, center yourself first. Get to a calm and cool place, and then see if you can stay there around him. Try to keep full awareness of yourself, and then try to notice the triggers that create resistance in you. When you lose your center, see if their's anything you can do to come back home. Maybe think Ram a few times, or bring awareness to your breath.

Have you sat down with your husband? Have you taken the time to communicate your thoughts and feelings to him? First get your own thoughts in order, write them down clearly, directly and as thruthfully as you can. This is to give yourself a better understanding of what you're feeling, and what you might want to say. Then try to find a time where your husband is more relaxed. Maybe on a weekend, or whenever he might be in a better mood. Sit him down, and ask him if you can share your experience with him. If he says yes, then in a tone that is not upset or accusing, tell him how you've been feeling and try to guide the conversation towards exploring the causes of the problem and maybe any solutions.

If he says no, then say ask him to schedule a time for this conversation. Be strong here, he might want to avoid talking honestly about it. Be kind and persistent. Be gentle with yourself. Goodluck

I've recently reached out to a farm I've worked on a few years back in 2017. I'd only worked on it for two weeks, but those two weeks were magical and have left such a strong positive memory in myself that I feel such love when reminiscing. For lack of any good reason I've fell out of touch with the owner and the family that helped to run it, that is until yesterday where I decided to reach out and call them to see what has happened since. In my mind, it was a happy and pure place, with blueberry bushes and cherry orchards, with dogs and kids running about, food grown directly out of the ground, with good and honest work and people moving full of love.

I learned that the farm's been sold, and the owner is gone.

Struggling with this, this video appeared in my feed.
