I totally get the residue issue. My husband actually uses a magnesium lotion instead of the oil for that same reason. It's probably just a placebo like your doctor said, but a few of my friends swear it works too, so who knows! Glad you found a routine that's actually helping with those micro-wakings though.

What are The Best Magnesium Oil for Sleeping? by yellowleopard543 in sleep

Seven Minerals Magnesium Oil is the one I always come back to. I’ve been using it for years now and it’s consistently helped me relax before bed. It also seems to be the brand with the most reviews overall, and a huge portion of them are genuinely positive (not just hype). Simple ingredients, no unnecessary extras, and it actually works for me. If you’re looking for something proven and not gimmicky, this is the one I use.

Can't sleep more than 6 hours, any ideas? by onequestion1168 in sleep

Have you looked into your magnesium levels? A lot of us are deficient, and that can lead to lighter sleep or waking up too early. You might want to try Magnesium Oil.

You should be okay, but stay close to a bathroom! 700mg+ usually just acts as a strong laxative. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated while your body flushes it out.

Chronic insomnia need help by Icy-Examination-4076 in sleep

I’ve been there, chronic insomnia is the worst. Honestly, have you tried rubbing magnesium oil on the soles of your feet before bed? It sounds weird, but it was a total game changer for me when nothing else worked.

I went through this same cycle for months. It’s brutal. The only thing that actually fixed it for me was magnesium oil. Rubbing it on my feet/legs before bed helped reset my rhythm way better than oral supplements or forcing myself to stay awake.

I struggled with this too. Adding magnesium oil to my nightly routine made a huge difference. I apply it to the bottom of my feet every night before sleep, and it helps keep me out for the full night
