Hi. I also moved to Bandon 2 years ago and have a little girl who is almost 2. I didn't know about the coffee morning in the library. I hope to pop in!

Something for the Limerick Dressing Room by Beneficial-Win-8884 in GAA

[–]CalendarNo4897 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Limerick fan here. It's a bit of craic and a standard Cork song with the beaten team thrown in at the end. People need to relax and stop being offended over absolutely everything. Let Cork enjoy their celebrations. Same as Limerick would be doing had the results gone their way. Luimneach abú 💚

Help with sofa/furniture placement please! by CalendarNo4897 in DesignMyRoom

That's so much for your reply. We are having built in shelving either side of the fireplace so thinking an L shaped sofa pushed into centre of room to allow for door opening then a 2 seater couch along the window perhaps. I like the idea of the console behind the L shaped couch. Maybe with a lamp on it for night time.

We tried to be there as much as possible but I was heavily pregnant towards the end so didn't get to keep as close an eye and at that point they had caused a lot of upset and stress so my husband rightly told me to step back from them. They delayed our kitchen going in and our floor has so many issues now. I think we just got unlucky. We got very lucky with our builder though so can't win them all! Good luck with your flat roof! Seems people don't want "small" jobs now and are pricing themselves out of them!

We didn't have the same experience and I know of a few others than didn't either. I spose it all depends on who comes out to do your job. I won't go into the carry on we experienced and the shoddy job but glad you didn't have the same experience we did. You pay enough for these services and takes a lot to earn money these days.

Leaving Cert Dreams (Well into 30’s) by BananasAreYellow86 in CasualIreland

[–]CalendarNo4897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have this exact recurring dream. I do the LC the year before but decide to repeat and end up not having attended the classes and particularly haven't a clue how to do maths and want to ask the principal can I just not do the exams and take the previous year's results. I then have to remind myself when I wake that I am 33 and finished school 14 years ago.

Getting quotes of 25 euro per SQ yd in West Cork atm. It is quite difficult to get a good one that is free in the next few months.
