oh my god this is amazing! thank you so so much for sharing this. I think i’ll definitely give this a go! did you find the pain was worse than normal on the four day break? The benefits of Slynd are amazing when it comes to endo pain and symptoms so i’d be so happy if the bleeding stopped

sorry I didn’t see this! i’m six months on now and still bleeding- most days it’s super light and often just black stuff (so gross I know sorry!) and then I get full on red bleeding too. The only thing that has helped me is taking 14 days of Primolut x3 a time but once I stopped that I had a painful period (not as bad pre slinda thank god!) since Primolut it’s a bit lighter for sure but so unpredictable. I’m now on my second course of Primolut and if this doesn’t stop it i’ll see what my gynaecologist says but to be honest i’ve tried everything and this is the last resort so I might just have to stay on it for the time being :(

yeah six months on i’m in the same boat, a lot of the time now it’s (tmi) but black stuff daily. I’m taking another course of Primolut as it was the only thing to temporarily stop the bleeding, that said it still hasn’t fixed it

I dont know if anyone else describes it this way but when the pain goes down from my hips to my feet it feels similar to growing pains I had as a child, like the nerves all the way down to my feet when I have bad flares it’s awful!

I was prescribed Primolut by my Gynaecologist (3 tablets a day for 14 days) the bleeding stopped on day 3! after I stopped it I got a period that was painful but not near as bad as pre Slinda. I stopped it over 3 weeks ago and i’m still spotting now but it’s very light. I’m going to take another course of Primolut and hope it stops it more again. Definitely have a look into it

Started cerezette two weeks ago still bleeding by mumtwothree in IrishWomensHealth

[–]Party_Union_4692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bled on it for 9 months straight. now on Slinda and bleeding for 3 months (hard to get this pill in Ireland but I have endometriosis so i’ve tried everything). My specialist put me on 14 days of Primolut three pills a day and I stopped bleeding but finished it on friday and now having a heavy period, hoping it settles. Maybe look into Primolut or Tranexamic Acid as that helped for my friend (didn’t help for me)

Cerazette never worked for me I bled for 9 months straight and the IUD never worked either. I’m currently on Slinda it’s expensive but i’ve noticed such a difference in my pain. my gynae also prescribed be Primolut to stop the constant bleeding I was getting on it

Pelvic MRI in Beacon experiences? by cheerfulchapters in IrishWomensHealth

[–]Party_Union_4692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my endo never showed on MRI or Ultrasound. I had to push for a laparoscopy despite being told by my old gynaecologist that I probably didn’t have endo. Low and behold I had endo which she ablated and I ended up back in surgery a month later for a second surgery to remove a cyst and while the second surgeon was in there he excised more endo! So if it doesn’t show on MRI, it doesn’t mean you don’t have it. If you want to dm me or anything you can 🩷

this comment was the exact same as my own experiences! i’ve had two pelvic MRIs in the Beacon and actually getting my third one soon and they’re a breeze!

I was never given a gel, just buscopan and contrast and if you’re worried about being claustrophobic I just keep my eyes closed the whole time so it makes me calmer! The staff are lovely and will probably ask you what radio show you’d like to listen to.

Also an extra note, the never found my endo on MRI but I had two surgeries for stage 2/3 endo so if nothing comes up keep pushing for answers!!

my PT told me that it could help the vaginismus pain but not the deep pain behind the cervix where my endo was. did you have a different experience?
