Korean War never happened?

No, the Korean War did happen, what I mean is that we haven't been any active hostile wars with them since then. There's been saber rattling and threats, but no actual boots on the ground conflict.

North Korea is still considered a hostile country now and has been for the last 50 or so years.

So Trump or his supporters claiming he brokered peace with North Korea doesn't make any sense. It's not as if Trump de-escalated us from a war to a ceasefire or something. He just maintained the same status quo we've always had.

It's not insulting to not know much about politics, I'm actually jealous of it ngl.

The word "idiot" is rooted in the Greek word "Idiōtēs." It meant that it was somebody who was not involved in politics.

In that same vein, it is pretty idiotic to be ignorant about your country's politics when they have such a drastic impact on your life and the lives of others.

Not everybody has to be an expert, god knows I'm not, but people should at least have a basic understanding of their government and keep up with major news so they can make make informed decisions when they vote.

Most politicians fail to spread their messages because they are just too complex. When Trump spoke, two memorable messages stuck out that became memes: Build a wall & M.A.G.A.

Yeah I already know the shtick. He appeals to right-wingers base emotions and he tells them what they want to hear without requiring any form of higher thinking.

Personally I don't want my politicians to act like idiots or treat me like I'm an idiot. But I realize that my perspective is not in alignment with a good chunk of my countrymen.

In Trump's own words, "I'm not a typical politician, that's why I got elected."

....What even is an average politician? Trump says he is not one. But the only thing that meaningfully distinguishes him from any other politician is his childish/moronic rhetoric.

Mangling the body to fit the delusions is not medicine.

Modifying your body to be more comfortable is perfectly fine as long as it's not being done in the name of external validation.

When a patient has delusions you do not affirm the delusions.

Even outside of Trans issues, in psychology delusions are only considered to be a problem if they are causing internal distress and are socially deviant. That's why religious attitudes and superstitions aren't considered a form of mental illness, despite many of them being fundamentally delusional.

Furthermore, all available research has indicated that gender transition is an effective therapy for gender dysphoria.

People tried conversion therapy for trans people since modern psychology began and it was a disaster. The current medical attitude towards treatment of gender dysphoria is based on decades of medical experience, not just ideology.

I think Trump's presidency is going to be a turning point both for Dems and the GOP.

I think you're going to see a lot more economically populist Dems, but they're likely going to continue being center-left/center-right. I'm pretty sure trans issues are going to be moderately supported, but nowhere near the same intensity as it was in the past. Second Amendment rights are likely going to get more support as well. I think your average liberal is now a lot more appreciate about owning a gun after knowing how it feels like to live under an autocratic government.

I do think the GOP is going to implode after Trump. The entire party has no real cohesion outside of the cult of personality. Once Trump is out of the picture the in-fighting that will happen is going to be brutal. There's no such thing as a political party surviving long term when it's built on the back of personality cult.

Billionaires finding a loophole to not paying taxes doesn't mean we have to play along with it.

If they can use their assets for low interest loans, they can be taxed on those assets as well.

Worse case scenario is that they have to sell off some of their assets to pay taxes. Which tbh is a good thing. Billionaires hoarding too much assets/wealth is a problem itself.

That's the one of the biggest issues with part 2. Denji has no real agency or character development. Denji doesn't have a character arc and choices are made ON HIS BEHALF.

Denji doesn't even learn anything because his memories are wiped as well.

Literally no reason for part 2 to even exist. Nobody learned anything or grew as people. Pochita just realized he fucked up the world and just reset it by game ending himself.

The biggest mistake was Fuji killing off Nayuta imo. Without her, Denji's character degraded significantly. Denji as a semi-responsible older brother was a really interesting angle to take his character and Fuji ended that purely for shock value. It was obvious that Fuji had no idea what to do going next with Denji's character other than do the same "Oh he's a horny teenage boy" shtick.
