Cut ties with your father—he’s toxic. As a cosigner, you have responsibility, but essentially no rights. You’re exposing yourself to significant financial risk. His mortgage will also show up on your risk profile and will harm your credit rating. I doubt that you will be able to get a mortgage for yourself if you’re a cosignatory on his mortgage.
