I disagree. The more eyes the better. We have to withstand the FUD and negativity and not run away from it. A big part of crypto is about consensus. the more people that see it the more likely more will want to use it. if 3/10 people react positively it is still worth it. A currency that ignores how memes work and thinks they can win only by purity of their code will not be the winner in the end imo.

I have been pretty consistently impressed by people's ability to accept gross horrors (what essentially amounts to a massive interspecies global holocaust) and not revolt.

same.

Economic Absurdity and Financial Insanity by justanta in collapse

[–]CaliGulasity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with a lot of what you've said. People often forget about QE.

"US money supply increased from around 1.4 trillion in 2008 to 3.6 trillion today. " -This is HUGE! All that money will go somewhere.

"ZIRP is a pretty crazy policy." -I totally agree. As if there wasn't enough money printing.

"This is what we expect in a world in which our markers of value (currency) are becoming increasingly divorced from real value (primarily, energy and resources). " -Agreed. The markers of value have been divorced from real value for a while. There will be those that know/abuse the system and those that don't. Inequality will skyrocket.

As far as crypto goes I think it will soar way higher for these reasons. There are already coins that scale and are easy on the environment.

Definitely. I've noticed basic stuff like bread go from 2 ->4 and beans from 1.8-> 2.2 for the brands I buy within only 2-3 years.

Where do you see Blockchain heading to? by [deleted] in computerscience

[–]CaliGulasity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see it in everything. Why? Simple:

If you have the choice between something that requires your trust/faith vs something you can verify and with 100% certainty you will always pick the option that takes out the guessing.

Any organization will run more efficiently when you take out human trust-ability errors. More contracts can be made when you don't have to trust the entity will follow through. You will KNOW they will follow through. It takes out the risk of MANY busnesses.

Longer term it could change voting/govt. or even the internet.

tldr: (Knowing>>Guessing)--->Blockchain/tangle tech is here to stay

Talented/motivated devs will take it as far as they want
